Wish me Luck.

ad

This is my first night alone in my house. My wife and I are officially separated. She's going out to California for a little while to breathe.

This is really hard for me. As emotionally strong as I have been in the past, I'm drawing from limited strength these days. It's been a spiritually awakening couple months and I'm left feeling a little shook up. So just one more thing to add to the mix - the ability to be alone.
Self improvement.

So you guys and gals are the support I have in this world and I appreciate the hell out of it.

I think I may even hit the gym tomorrow.

You got this! When one door closes another one opens. Look at what is ahead like its an opportunity. You can focus on improving yourself mentally and physically now. Being productive feels good. It's a good time in your life to set goals and achieve them. Carpe diem.

When my ex moved out the gym was the only thing that kept me sane. Then with the body I created I started running through sloots to gain my confidence back. In the process I found my true soulmate.

Now that I'm done sounding like a disgusting pig let me explain. It was all the time pushing plates during our separation, that gave me time to reflect on what I needed, what she needed, and how we had grown apart to the point we couldn't be each other's support system anymore. That's when I needed the confidence boost and I started man whoring.

This is your chance to do the real soul searching you need. It may work out, it may not. Just make sure you do some major soul searching so when the time comes to either file or reconcile, you will be sure it's what is truly in your heart. I wish you the best brother, no matter what happens.

Best of luck bro. We seem to be on some very similar paths. I'm becoming more and more self aware lately. Honestly I don't like all that I see. Your posts have helped me out a good deal and they're appreciated. I've realized I don't do good alone. It's a weakness. I'm not sure I've been alone more than a week or two at a time in the last 15 years. I don't get the feeling that's where your path lies, but I think that's my next step. I'm tired if the meaningless relationships just to band aid something else that's going on with me. Reading your posts lately has helped me be more introspective Its appreciated. Not that I revel in your plight, but the way you handle your journey is respected.

Try to find some new hobbies to keep you busy, so you don't go crazy thinking about being alone.

Relax man, I've been through a few long term relationships where I was home alone. Idle minds are the devil's playground so keep yourself busy at all times. Fall asleep watching TV, watch a skin flick and beat it like it owes you money, Play old time rock and roll and run around your pad in your underwear. It will seriously help you keep your sanity.

Hang in there big bro. Remember that life is a journey. There are literally millions of different paths one can take. Move forward and know that all the future wonderful times you ever experience are possible because of the experiences of the past that got you to where you are today. Marriages are always full of good and bad. Don't live your life with regrets. Starting now, live your life to be happy and appreciate the ones that have always been by your side. Live your life to show those people the appreciation they deserve. At some point every married man thinks of all the things he would do if he was single, and you my friend, can start those things this very second. Best of luck to you.
