Blood Work.
ad
I just had some blood work taken the other day and I have some questions.
My TRT dose for test cyp is 100 mg / week.
I took 200 mgs about 7 days prior to this test.
Total Testosterone - 560 ng
Free Test - 140 pg
Estradiol - 24
I was hoping for a total testosterone around 600 and so that was fine. I prefer it much higher but I hadn't started my current cycle yet. I ordered the test to see if he could increase it to 200 mg a week.
I don't even bother taking any anti e's with 200 mg a week. So the estradiol is fine by me.
Why is free test so high?

MakaveliCD7560 is still considered low...most docs like u to sit around 750-800....they call that the optimal range...with ur level being at 560 ur conversion rate to Estro will definitely be lower unless there is a genetic factor which u obviously do not have....ur body is pretty close to its homeostasis apparently so that would-be my guess...definitely think ur body is optimizing that test and the need to convert is not there....just got to remember we are all different when it comes to our genetic makeup and using these replacement compounds... normal free testosterone range (35-155)...so ur sitting in range not high
560 is low? I tested at 578 at age 19. I think I'm gonna go see an endo...
I told my doc I had a very low libido for a 19 year old and she told me "your levels are in the normal range", well shouldn't 19 year olds have around 1000? maybe 578 is normal for a 50 year old but definitely not a teen. That is exactly what lead me to steroids in the first place. By age 20 I thought well if a doctor won't rx me test then I'll just try it myself. You know when people say "wait until you are in your late 20s because your test levels are high until 25" yeah well 578 at 19 is not high so the whole 'your levels are still naturally high' didn't apply to me. But sex drive wasn't the only reason I wanted a prescription for test.
Once I cycled at 20 everything was perfect. I felt healthy for the first time in years. My depression improved and completely went away! After years and tons of AD's, testosterone made me feel normal. I was happy, had energy, had a good appetite, and was getting more than 4 hours of sleep a night. My anxiety went away and my confidence went up.
Test literally fixed me at age 20 and made me enjoy life once again. And then pct came, all was well, then 2 weeks later - CRASH. Back to square one. My anxiety and depression kicked back in, my gains went away, my sleep decreased, my appetite disappeared the list goes on... Got test levels tested. 490.
Back on cycle a few months later, everything got better again, mood improved, happy and feeling great once again. After that cycle my pct wasn't as bad, but 3 months later I couldn't WAIT and hopped back on.
So yea that's how it goes for me. Good to know I had low test all along, I already know trt IS my future. I accept it and it's only a matter of time.
MakaveliCD7Ur story was similar to mine so I def think u should have ur doc look into it....u are correct at 19 ur levels should be cruising around a 1000...put it like this if ur test level is at peak basically at 19 at 578 then after 25 ur levels decrease then ur numbers are already low...ur 578 should have tested for a man 30+ not at 19....no wonder u felt great with test supplementation at 20 bc ur levels were at where they were supposed to be...u have to understand that TRT has really just made It's way on to the scene in the past 5 years...before docs didn't pay much attention to levels unless significantly low or if u were having major side effects or severe ED...see in just the past 2 years they have acknowledged that levels at 800-1000 is where the most benefits or TRT lie...TRT is not a bad thing especially when u realize the difference it makes when treated...no more roller coaster with ur emotions and u def feel and look better and ur efforts in the gym are not in vain
BigBmajSame thing happened to me man.
I've been doing some reading and many people really do best in the 700 - 1000 range. The range they give is for men age 18 - 90 including people with medical problems. So that's not a very appropriate range for a 19 year old man who's exercising.
Go see an endocrinologist and see what you can do about a reasonable TRT dose. Its hard to make happen considering your age but its worth a shot.
I do not feel great in the 600's. I have noticed anxiety and depression at that level. You may also want to look at using something to control cortisol levels.
I've been dealing with this since I was young as well. Email me and I'll help you out as best I can.
why would you take 200mg before a test when you are prescribed a lower dose??? Your at 560 your doc will be satisfied with that especially because your estrogen is perfect.
next time take your PRESCRIBED dose to accurately determine where you are at.
BigBmajI hadn't expected the test. It was the lowest I'd been in awhile so that was fortunate. I figured he would have me wait until I was fasting and I could give it a few more days. I told him I wanted blood sugar and cholesterol in an attempt to delay the test. Nurse had a needle in my arm before I could think twice.
It wasn't as planned at all. I'm only curious about why free test would be so high. I know I was stupid, that was established years ago.
are you on any other supplement/ steroid? you probably already know this but a lot of things can compete with testosterone and occupy Seex Hormone Binding Globulin. Either way, might as well not look a gift horse in the mouth, eh?
BigBmajNope I was all clean, too clean. I was complaining to my workout partner about having low T, I didn't even want to hit the gym. I was waiting on some orders from here, to get everything started.
