Anybody play video games here?
Recently I've found myself becoming reinvested in old school runescape.
As a teen, it was the same. Also Halo, CoD, and GTA series of course.
Any of you bros play video games?
Which ones?
The graphics on someone of these new consoles is unreal...

Marvel rivals, cod black ops 6, warframe
Fallout, all of them
A friend was interested in getting a ps5 so i sold him mine and grabbed a pro. While i'm waiting for my disc drive to come in so i can use my game library i downloaded Stellar Blade. The details and smoothness of the gameplay is impressive. And the titty giggle physics are on frickin point. Once my disc drive gets here i'm going to go back to Demons Souls. The game makes me want to kick a damn puppy with how hard it is. But it looks amazing.
I also grabbed one of the Backbone controllers for my phone so i can remote play my ps5. Def a cool little controller. A little on the smaller size for a guy with decently large hands.
I'm up there in my 40s and love playing Fortnite! Lol. Nothing like getting angry at a bunch of children for teaming up on an old man! I give em hell though.
Also a big God of War fan.
ScarecrowEA College Football 25. Jump on to play a game….
KonstantViktoryLOL
I felt the same way when I discovered Madden. Albeit was offline for the PS1! Hahahahahahaha!
I'm going to bump this up as i've made some more purchases and tried a few more games since this was last active.
I picked up the Metal Gear 1/2/3 HD remake for the switch. I loved 1&2 back in the day. 3 was good but i never beat the final boss. I also grabbed the rerelease of Persona 3 & 4 for the switch. I've been playing 4 for the last few days and it's really doing it for me. I went through Persona 5 royal a few months back and i absolutely loved it. The stories in both have been great and they really get you invested in the characters.
I put about 30 hours into Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance. I can see why they call it Persona without the soul. They're both made by Atlus and based on Japanese lore. The enemies are all basically identical as is the need to capture demons to fight with or merge them together into other demons to fight with. The battle system is your typical turn based rpg system. But SMT is a god damned grind fest. You go hours in between any cut scenes or anything related to the story and it just wasn't enough to keep me interested. Fighting the same battles over and over just got boring.
I also picked up and went through the Luigis Mansion 2 HD remake on my switch. I loved that game on my 3ds and it was just as good on the switch. I've beaten it at least 6-7 times by now. Nintendo really is good about making games that are fun to play without necessarily being the most amazing looking games.
I put a few hours into Cult of the Lamb but it didn't really hold my attention for more than maybe 8-10 hours. Put a few hours into the Yakuza Kawami rerelease. Graphics were decent but the controls sucked. I also tried to give Dark Souls HD remaster a chance. But frankly it looked like dog shit and the controls were clunky and unresponsive. I've played Demon Souls on the ps5 which while being really fucking hard looked amazing and played pretty well once you got used to it. I've got Elden Ring waiting on my steam deck to try one day.
So anyone else got anything new to recommend?
Played the hell out of RuneScape. Started osrs slightly but don’t have a ton of time.
PC wise crushed CSS/CS:GO, RS, Smite, and a few others
GameCube/N64 loved smash to death. Beat Pokemon stadium as a youngin
Xbox Loved Halo, All CODs prior to Ghosts, RDR 1&2, borderlands franchise, old battlefront Star Wars, Skyrim/oblivion, gears, dark souls, damn dude just so many greats in the mid 2k’s… I miss having free time man!
Today you’ll catch me occasionally firing up the 360 for nostalgic games, playing a phone game during downtime/waiting, and checking up on my osrs now that it’s playable on ios!
Thinking about getting the newest Xbox to try the newer CODs and maybe some other stuff. Cool to see another RS player….
My original account still has hundreds of Phats and everything… and I participated in The Falador Massacre (IFYKYK)!
Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 were amazing games on the original Xbox and the 360. 2 is still one of my favorite games of all time. They rereleased the trilogy on most modern systems if you never gave them a try. I also loved Tom Clancys Splinter Cell games on the xbox/360.
If you're looking at a newer system i'd point you towards the ps5 over the new xbox. Microsoft just doesn't have the exclusives anymore to justify it. Most games you want to play on xbox will be on the ps5 plus all the exclusive stuff like spiderman, god of war, grand turismo, etc.
I play on ps5, mostly zombies on mw3 but farcry is my favorite game franchise
When I do, i play Rimworld. It's a colony management game where you take control over a bunch of crash landed misfits and build and grow your colony. Now that I think of it, it kinda remind me of my job here lol.
KonstantViktoryLol.... rimworld.
Just fired up the Xbox right now lol, MW3
KonstantViktoryMW2 is better. Rust quickscope 1v1
@Drexyl Yo pm me we should run sometime, I'm a zombies pro
I enjoy metroidvanias and rdr 1 and 2.
If you haven't tried it give Dead Cells a go. One of the best games i've ever played. I have something like 600 hours into it. Even after 5-6 years it's still my go to when i'm not already playing something and have a little time to kill. Easy to pick up for 15-20 and put down again. But damn it takes some time to get good enough for a clean run and it takes a while to unlock at least most of the different weapons, traps, skills, etc. Def worth the $40-50 i think it costs to get the game with all the paid dlc's.
I’ll check it out thanks man.
Be ready to want to smash your controller for a little while. But once you get that first clean run where you run through and entire level ducking under arrows, dodging at just the right second to come up and stab a dude in the back of get a perfect block on an enemies swing it will suddenly set in how awesome it can be. Think of a metroidvania on speed. Not the slow clunky stuff like bloodstained or some of the other true to the classics ones. There's actually a Castlevania dlc where you go to Dracula's castle and fight the boss from symphony of the night. They have a secret level in there where you actually go and play in the old ones Castlevania style all slow and clunky. But still fun and novel.

Cod
& Chips with Mushy peas LMAO
@press1 hahaha!!! Protein carbs and greens
I've been going through the newer Dooms on my switch lately. Went through the 2016 remake a couple weeks ago which was awesome. Currently working my way through Doom Eternal now and will move on to the dlcs after this. My back log of games is huge. I'll wait until there's a sale on steam or the nintendo store and buy a bunch of games that i'll probably never play. I've got dozens of games in my backlog currently.
I have a thing for portable systems. Have switch, steam deck, PS vita, new 3dsxl and a ps5. I actually enjoy hunting around used game stores looking for games to collect for the vita and 3ds more than playing usually. It's just so damn expensive to buy anything for some of these systems today. I saw a sealed 3ds pokemon game that included some little electronic pokemon toy in the box for $2999.99 this weekend. Absolute insanity.
KonstantViktoryThat's absolutely ludacris... $3k???? You could get a year of pharma grade HGH for that lmao. Must be a damn good game.
I remember doom. They had an Xbox variation that was full of jump scares. Good shit.
Pretty sure it's just crazy rare not necessarily a good game. Retro games are stupid expensive. If only i had saved all my old stuff. I'd have made some nice side cash with all the systems ive owned over the years.
I picked up Halo again a few months ago. I haven't played hte last 2 Halos until this one. Its not bad. I also started playing Fortnite which I actually enjoy. Pretty laid back game and people don't seem to be a-holes on there. I never been a COD fan. Wow I remember the arguments back in teh day between Halo fan boys and COD fan boys.
Hard to find time though between kids sports. Sometimes I jump on for 1 or 2 games but don't have much time for more.
Wish I did have more time.
COD for sure. Warzone etc.
Ex Warzone player with a passion that started during the COVID era. That game helped me feel close to all my friends. Then I gave it up due to too much competition, and now I’m just a casual gamer. I play a couple of games a day of The Binding of Isaac. Who knows about it?
I’m not a gamer at all, I’ll go 5 years without playing a single game but far cry 5 was my shit. I was in love with that. I beat it twice. 6 doesn’t look great so I’m waiting for 7. I also really liked this game called medieval dynasty for the Pc. It’s like sims but medieval times. You gotta hunt and start a village and shit. I love it but very time consuming so I play for like a week but then take a few weeks off cus I’m too busy, otherwise I’ll get stuck playing for like 4 hours
Those live games will get you. World of warcraft got me. I would play for hours on end. Knowing the game continues even when off would kill me. I was super nerdy and I enjoyed playing it.
Shoot even got back to Pokemon go a few months back with the buds.
I got back into pokemon a while back also. Started collecting the cards again. Seems like they release a new set every month. It's too damn expensive to keep up with, so I slowed down on it and allocate more funds for gear now
I was doing pokemon go. Starting using my real money to advance in the game. I realised I was spending to much time on it so I had to stop.
And arnt all the new cards worthless cus there just printing millions anyway? I lost my childhood set but my best friend passed away and his girlfriend sent me his old collection, there’s some really cool cards in there. Hundreds of the Japanese pocket monster cards
Some of the new cards are worth a lot. Some of the new carss sell for over $1k, not many but some do. I wish I still had my originals also. Most of mine got destroyed in a washing machine when I was younger. I still have a few originals but not as many as I did have.
Not sure where you are at but here in the states, some of those cards are worth money.
Ya I have a couple valuable ones. I can’t really look up the Japanese ones cus idk what to type lol. But I have this promo first edition holo machamp card still sealed I think it’s like 400$ and then a couple other cool ones around that price range. I have like maybe 10 first edition cards but none of them are like the best ones
Tcgplayer.com
Look the card up by number on the bottom.
There's also an app that you can scan your cards using your phone to look them up. Can't remember the name of it though.
I’ll have to check that one out. I think I had used the psa site to price check. I might get some graded but idk if it’s worth it. It’s so expensive to get it done
Thats tight. Save them for another coulle more years. Should be worth more by then.
I get motion sickness if I play too much. VR will Fuck me up haha...
I'm exactly the same with it after a while, I can't ride in the back of cars either. I got very into COD Black Ops back in the day and man when you are playing online and it keeps loading you into more games I ended up missing meals!! I'd be wired on pure adrenaline all day LMAO I fucked it off once I sobered up and got back into training properly and running gear.
I played COD yesterday. Only lasted like 20 minutes. I dont play enough or have enough time to be decent. Just a moving target. Rather get the real ones out and hit the desert.
Haha Fuck. Thats my weakest trait. I cant be in the backseats. Or be on my phones or reading. Either I am a passanger or driving.
Went to universal with the kids and almost threw up on the first ride lol.
Boats suck. Planes suck. Dremamine is my best friend haha.
OMG Yeh I remember on a school trip we went over to France on a coach, I pretty much spent the whole time playing fucking Gameboy on link up with my friend and didn't realise how ill it was making me feel. Got to france and puked in the toilet LMAO Planes I am okay on and normally make sure I get a window seat anyway, BUT boats and Ferries!! A rough ferry crossing is the worst of all of them.
Haha you sound fancy my guy. I am from the ghetto so no coach or ferries lol.
Yea I even bought the stupid glasses from amazon for motion sickness. Take a look at them if you dont know what they are.
Fun fact* when I came to the USA as a kid. We took trains from the lower part of Mexico to get here. It was days of me feeling like I was dying laying under the seat. So bad i never forgot it. Motion sickness sucks horrible. If i know I will be in those situations, I dont even eat.
At least now you are an adult you can choose the situations you are in, when you are a kid you just had to do it if your parents told you to lol
I wonder why some of us get it while others don't?
Because lord knows we would be too powerful if we didnt have it.
I recently re-played through gta5 since epic games gave it away free a few years ago. I now have a computer that can run it. My original play though was back on the xbox 360. I play clash of clans on the ol' smartphone, we're always looking for new active members.
I was playing a fair amount of virtual reality games on the oculus quest platform, waiting for the batman game to drop in the next month or so. I've owned all 3 of the quest headsets, lots of fun if you're into vr.
As I type all that you'd think I'm an avid gamer. However, this entire year basically I've become a 6 day per week gym bro. These days all my stat increases are on my physique and in my workout book
I hated GTA games. My son is 6 and has been playing my old GTA 4 and 5 games though. He finally found the Stripclub and the lap dance. He told me that was "clean ass" Im like I have no idea what that means but you obviously aren't gay.
KonstantViktoryLMAO
