Victim of a Hate Crime
So today I'm pretty sure that I was a victim of a hate crime, perhaps not a hate crime but racial intolerance, and friends, it really hurt. It was kind of funny, but still kind of hurt, being the sensitive man that I am, No homo.
I had to step out of the office, on my way I decided to stop at a gas station and purchase a rockstar xdurance. Yes, the greatest sugar free beverage of all time that also has BCAA's in it. That's right you fricken tools that love your redbull, I'm calling you out. Sorry, I got side tracked, back to my story. So I walk into the gas station (looking quite sexy) no homo, walk back, scope out the energy drink section take a look at the different flavors and grab my Xdurance and walk back to the register to pay for my pop. I pay for my soda pop and start to head out the doors as I see an older, African American lady walking from the gas pumps towards me. Well, I've always considered myself a gentleman and decided to hold the door open until this lady made it to the door. No big deal, I always hold the door for women, hell I even hold it for men if they are wearing skinny jeans, No homo.
At any rate, the lady who happened to be breathing heavily says to me:"Honkey, Don't you be holding that door for me! I can get it myself!"
It didn't quite strike me that she called me a honkey because frankly that's the first time I'd ever been called a honkey. So I continued to hold the door as she approached. As she approached she just shook her head and mumbled something and walked through.
I walked back to my truck kind of dumbfounded. I wanted to think that she said "Honey" not "Honkey", but I'm 98% sure that she called me a honkey, and her mumbling and shaking her head in anger kind of confirmed it to me.
As I drove off, I felt kind of sad wondering if somehow I offended that sweet lady.
Why do people gotta be hatin'? I think its because I'm so damn handsome. I don't know. Is it wrong nowadays to hold the door for a lady? I'm still confused. Did I do something wrong? Is there something offensive about holding the door open for people?
That's my story. I'm sorry, you are all dumber now for having read this.

Your speculation is correct. Being called a Honkey was the highlight of my week,possibly month. What made it so special is the fact that I was actually holding the door for her, just out of kindness.

It amazes me (No, it scares me) how white people are going out of their way to label other white people as racist simply for stating facts, or otherwise sticking up for themselves. George Zimmerman would be Hispanic if he had committed his "crime" against another Hispanic, but since the "victim" was black, he is now considered white.
Being called Honkey doesn't offend me in the least----have at it. I'm quite used to seeing whites victimized by blacks. But the main reason I'm not offended by the word is because I don't GO OUT OF MY WAY to be offended, unlike some people, who look for offense around every corner, and have been raised to believe that every single bad thing that happens to them is someone else's fault----never their own.
Having said that, let me also say that NOBODY gets treated any differently from me because of their race. My mom was raised in Alabama and my dad died when I was young. I was raised with a racist point of view and I sort of have racist feelings towards black people. I try not to, but that's just how I was raised. Some people just grow up in that situation and are raised that way.
The only thing you can do is try and pass on racial tolerance to the next generation and hope it eventually gets diluted to near nothing.
It's just the way it is.
