training partner?
ad
A couple weeks ago I was approached by a top N.P.C. competitor about training with him. Of course I said yes, I have trained by myself for years and have grown too comfortable to make any big gains. The last 2 weeks I have worked out harder than I ever have before. My body is still adjusting to the extra volume and forced reps, along with several other high intensity techniques. He is also correcting my form on a lot of stuff to better target individual muscles. I am glad I have this opportunity to learn from someone quite a bit younger than me, and looking forward to the changea this will bring to my physique. Let's hear it: do you train alone or with a partner?

well ive tried to train with friends before, but they are lousy gym partners... once i trained with a huge juiced up 20 year old back when i was 19. he was 270, had a 600lb squat and benched over 450. we did a good leg workout. its too bad we are on different schedules though cause i would like to train with him regularly.
Train by myself. Sometimes I wish I had someone there, but where I am at with my training...people at the gym look at me like I am crazy and no one can hang anyway. Honestly.
Even if someone asked to join me, partner-wise, I am such a sick f-ck that I will purposely push myself and them until I break 'em and they just walk away. And once again, I am working out alone. I just haven't found someone on the same level as me since I got outta the joint, and we used to kick each other's ass inside. I would still rather be out though, that goes without saying. Someday, I will find a good training partner.
TxBigBoyI've trained alone up until last week actually. I've tried to have partners in the past but either due to the hours I go or lack of their dedication it doesn't last more than a week. My new partner is on the same level as me physically if not better and has the same goals and dedication I do so it has been great so far. I to have grown too comfortable with my routine so we have been switching off routines each week and I'm fucking dead right now just from running his routine. I think this is going to be a good thing plus he's on trt and uses almost as much gear as I do so we talk for hours about it. My wife thinks its cute cause its kinda a bromance lol.
Haha, my wife says the same type of shit(she rolls her eyes a lot too though). Always good to have someone to talk shop with who are on the same path. Probably 80% of the people at my gym run gear, and I talk to a couple of them. Of course some of them are old school and don't even know what we learn about together as a community on eroids. So I'm actually able to give them some tips like heating their gear up before injecting to reduce pip.
TxBigBoyNice. Yea I don't talk to anyone about my use besides my wife so it really is nice to have someone who can relate and what not.
CleyonIt's weird, even the guys who you KNOW are on gear won't open up about it until they really know you. I'm making a freaking documentary about it, so everyone knows about me!
TxBigBoyLol, yea I'm pretty sure everyone at my gym assumes Im ON. Hell I talk trt all the time with this older guy who's a doctor and I know people overhear our conversations.
I've jad training partners before, but no one so much more advanced than I am. I feel like I'm stepping up to a whole new level.
I'm always alone because my work hours but jump in with the big guys when i can. That always pushes me further!
I've been alone a long time, its always good to shock yourself and get out of your comfort zone. I remember when my work hours only allowed me to workout at 5 am, I felt like a soldier.
That early was lots of fun! Blast hard before college classes .
CleyonI train with a partner (when he isn't slacking), he's a former NPC competitor and pushes me really well! I also train part time with a current IFBB pro, and she tries to break me into little itty bitty pieces, and them stomp those pieces into the ground. The gains will be worth it though.
Yeah, its taking me a minute to adjust to the extra work load, but I'm already gaining nicely.
CleyonThere is no substitute for being pushed, especially by someone that's ahead of you!
