to sleeve or not to sleeve
ad
Ok eroids brothers, the question is to get sleeved out with tats or not. Im 40 years old and have been lifting for 18 years naturally until the last 2 years. Now that im finally adding gear to my regiment and loving the results, I've been thinking about investing the money in a very good artist and getting sleeved out. I'm 6'1, 225 pounds off cycle, about 235 pounds "on" and I think I would look pretty scary with full sleeves. I would love some insight from members like "inked" and any others who have taken that final plunge and completely sleeved out their arms and what changes they noticed in themselves if any and from people around them, good and bad...thanks.

Nice. Sounds like we work at the same place.
AnonMy hero. I want to be all tatted up too
My best friends ex was, so I have some bad ass work too. I got screwed in the divorce. No more tattoos! :(
CleyonWaaaaaahhhhh! LOL!
Aren't you cute! Go make some YouTube videos!
CleyonI really need to huh? I think Zewi is mad that it's been a few weeks.
Good insight brother thanks! FR sent
AnonGo for it, i have 2 half sleeves already and im coming up with ideas for the full sleeve. Just make sure you get good work done. dont be cheap and shop around.
AnonI was thinking of getting a sleeve but only to cover one of my drunk tattoos haha
Lol
AnonWell if you want to get it then go for it. You are 40 now , so unless you are waiting for that corporate job then theres no reason not to get it. I am covered in tattoos, but with a short sleeve shirt on you would never know. I dont want to fuck up a perspective job down the line in my life.
Just get good workdone , dont go cheap cause thats what you'll get , and why are you asking about tattoo advice on this forum , you need a life coach , not eroids
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT GET TRIBAL OR BARBED WIRE
AnonAgreed, pay the extra money and get good work.

This is written in the off topic portion of eroids. Don't be a jerk brother there's no need for that.
AnonYea man for sure... you can write whatever you want in off topic, fuck that dude
Thatguy....It's fuck that guy , and thats not rude , I can be fuckin rude , I'm dead serious about the tribal and barbed wire . You also have to spend$$$ for quality artists , Im covered and have spent well over 20 on my body as of now. I see soooo many bad tattoo's and it makes me cringe, I get stopped 10 times a day for people to look at my sleeve , trust me it gets annoying but its art man , yuno , not just ink for the sake of getting a tattoo . Im gomma assume that you have either tribal or barbed wire and that is where your " fuck that dude comment came from" Have a good one SLAYERRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
Anon"Why are you asking about tattoo advice on this forum , you need a life coach , not eroids."
That is the comment that was rude, not the barbed wire or tribal that was actually good advice, but the other comment definitly deserved a "Fuck that dude". So calm down and have a good day.
Beat me to the punch on that one bro.
Fuck you and your gay ass infidel bf you fukn punks , you wouldnt talk that way in front of me so leave it alone , learn how to make life decisions in life , this aint therapy you insecure dick riders
AnonAre you sure you are 33? Grow up man

Good Lookn out bro and thanks for the insight as well. FR sent.
Anonlmao
I got my weiner sleeved hoping it would make it look bigger and unfortunately didn't quite do the trick. Now it just looks like a green weiner. Luckily it only cost me 15 dollars at the local truck stop from a trucker who made a badass tattoo gun out of a Sony Walkman.
Wtf?? Too funny man!
CleyonYeah, Big Rick has the passion, but he's no artist. Of course he has a passion for penis's a lot more than tattooing. Let me guess, he said it had to be hard in order for him to do a good job?
Hey mate if you are only getting tats to look scary then thats the wrong reason to get them. I know everyone has their own reasons as to why they get tats but to just look scary well I don't know about the people you hang out with but where I am from they don't scare me or any of my mates. i think tats should hold some sort of meaning to the wearer. What ever you do don't get a tribal pattern tattoo unless you belong to an actual Islander or Celtic tribe mate. Just my opinion mate.
Wrong choice of words. I think sleeves look pretty good on people that work hard to stay in shape. We're on the same page though with the tribal tats. Anything I get will hold some meaning for me. Thanks for the feedback bro.
56tooIm Sleeved out bro and to be honest I wouldn't do it again, at least not as many. I find they cover up definition. I did them b4 I got into this lifestyle so I never thought of that.
Yeah losing definition would suck.
AnonYour 40 bud, just curious as to why now. Ive tats on shoulders and chest, and keep forearms clear because of work and short slieve shirts. If you want it go for it but remember your stuck with them and not everyone wil like them. Cops see you all tatted up and they harras you and if your not they find out who you are then harras you. Just put a lot of thought into what you are getting and make it personal to you rather than some random picture.
Good point bro thanks
Well it depends what your looking for.. Also do you care if they cover up definition? If you get it done correctly to contour your muscles it can actually make your cuts look more detailed.. But that would take a very good artist and a lot of planning.. A body builder named joey gloor went about that route, seems to have worked out for him. Just my 2 cents.. you can look more detailed and inked up
Im sleeved and my back is covered also my ribs.I love tatts.I say go for it!Im still who i am tatts didnt change me just enhanced me.Shits expensive so make sure u wanna do it.
Niiiiiice thanks!
I totally want to agree because I have a lot too and I love all of mine, well except the one I got at 16 at some ghetto shop by some dude who always solicited teens because he sucked, but it's small and eventually I'll get it covered. Here's my question though, did you ever have to ask others opinions? I have always loved them and always want more. My mother hates it, but I don't care! I've never had to ask anyone before.
No its just the finality of getting that kind if work done makes me want to get all the input I can.
