AnonIt could and I do see that as a risk. However I do believe very strongly that anonymity builds false courage, and if someone knew they had to sign their name and be accountable for a neg or a plus then they might think twice. I heard an interesting study about a forum where people had to use their real names, they found that it was far more polite and a lot less flaming/ trolling. I do see both sides of it though, but maybe a months trial period ?

Well the way it is now, usually people will come to us privately and publicly asking who downvoted them. We always check it out and when it's unjust the person is held accountable. Most times it's an accident honestly. Touchscreens. And to those who say "this karma thing is nutty. It's just imaginary". That's true, but it sure as hell is important to the majority here.
That was what was so funny about this post is you have always followed up on the up & down voting to make sure that the integrity of the rules were upheld. In fact you could even see a difference when people started disagreeing there were not close to as many down votes as before when you made the criteria clear. That is why I said if you didn't do the same when some one down voted you even though it made you to at least some idiots look like you care about karma it would be hypocritical.
But getting down voted for asking for stats. I would have no karma at all! the case of sour grapes didn't really need more evidence than that.

Just like in real life, we have the ability to down vote a nazi regime (although we're losing that ability more everyday). And we should not fear down voting a comment from a mod, they too are humans and they too make mistakes. HOWEVER, you better be sure you are doing it for the right reasons and that your motives are valid.
From 74 karma to -4 in one sitting seems very excessive. I can't seem to access you post, but it seems to me you were just being disrespectful for the sake of being disrespectful. At 74k, you should have definitely known better and taken the conversation private instead of making things worse. Don't know whether you are here or not but if so here are some facts. Nitti has always since becoming a MOD be constant at enforcing that people do not get down voted unless breaking the rules or giving dangerous irresponsible advice. It would have been hypocritical for him not to do the same with his own post. Also if I would have got to your post the first thing that I would have done is ask for your stats that is a huge issue that has been discussed here over and over. Him asking you should have actually been the first post to be up voted.
Now as far as the disrespect that you are showing Bodybuilder let me tell you he has to be one of the best men of integrity that I have had the pleasure to talk with. I have also watched him save and spare more people who should not have been spared at least in imo. It was a stupid fuckin question but everyone still offered advice AFTER asking for stats and history (which is what i did). Apparently that made his pussy hurt and He didn't like that so he downvoted the comment! I told him (in an aggressive manner) that he doesn't get to do shit like that! This is the result!

Yeah pm's are the way to do things around here. All the noobs should know that if you have beef with someone you should handle it like a man by talking to the other guy. Anytime you pull this kind of publicly calling someone out, you are asking for trouble. This is BFGs club and the mods are his bouncers. Would you spit in a bouncers face and still expect to have access to that club. Same thing goes for when a SRC gets called out like that. Why would you want to piss off someone that has control of where you post or if you get a special surprise in your pack?
