Anybody watch it last night? I caught a little over the first hour and it was mostly trump wiping the floor with the others. I have to get over to the jobsite but will add to my opinion later..

I think Trumps approach to this election is exactly what our system needs. Would he make a good President? Absolutely not IMO, but niether will the rest of them. The points he makes regarding our political system are spot on. The ridiculous exchange in the beginning regarding running as independent was embarrasing for the republicans. Just highlights the problem of voting for a party regardless of who the candidate is. I applaud Trump for sticking to his guns.
Seems most Republican candidates are positioning with a war. Why we want to war again is beyond me, Iran, China, Russia all were mentioned as being "problems" to the US, so I guess that means we must kill? Its laughable sometimes listening to these asshats, as if America is, and should be the supreme country to dictate how the rest of the world operates. Understand there are dangers, but pitting ourselves against every country that poses a threat to our economy may not be wise.
What sucks is there are no great options on either side...we really want another Bush, or Clinton? FFS talk about priveledged families and keeping the status quo. Politicians know how to get elected, nothing more....votes, votes, votes. Trump, like Perot years ago is refreshing. Hopefully he cant control his mouth a little bit and be a viable option, but more likely he will get pushed out. Maybe he can at least bring to light the ridiculousness of politics to the masses, so real change can occur.
It is called money and diversion ... it used to be that if we had a slow econonmy we could pull ourselves out of it by going to war .. the problem is that doesn't work when manufacturing is located overseas .... now being a military contractor is big business and an ass ton of money so going to war now and having "problems" is a swift money maker for those who have the "in" on the contract .... war is no longer about dirt or minerals etc...
apparently Trump already ran his mouth after the debate saying how good he was for women ..lmao.. be interesting to see how he recovers from it but since I don't have cable or satellite I ll have to read the thread to find out the dirt... that or watch tv at the gym ;-)
real change is only going to occur when all the people stand together and demand it and that my friend isn't going to happen because there are too many special interest groups who think that they are more speical than the next person ... the system has been corrupt and broken for a long time the only way to fix it is to start fresh

Not sure who to blame...lost my real job last sept. Since then i've interviewed for 6 different white collar jobs. Not one company offered health insurance. And most wanted to cap me at 29 hours! This shit was unheard of before obama. That being said, I also blame the companies. They are just using an excuse that obama provided them.

I had nobama care thru work. Before ANY insurance kicked in, my family of 4 was $12,500 paid outta pocket first.
Just wait til the fallout over $15/hour minimum wage goes rampant. Watch all the small business closures and cost increases. Cuts in hours and permanent cuts have already started. 2 friends here with long time prime businesses, closed outright.

RustyhookerI'm part of the legacy in small business. Everyone around me and fam are business owners. Folks on first, second or third generation and they're cutting folks out or closing to leave this state. It's really sad.

I'm all for trump. Has balls like the presidents who actually gave a fuck Kennedy, Reagan, Roosevelt etc etc. He does lack tact and is a bit brash and doesn't word things and tends to offend people. But that's exactly what is wrong with our country everyone is too sensitive. The pusification of america. Our country was once great when it was an industrial empire and you worked hard and got rewarded for it. These days people get rewarded and taken care of for being fat or having some lame ass disability yet they can use their check to buy drugs and party , we raise our children to believe there is no last place no one left behind so they don't have work ethic and know they will not be allowed to fall behind someone will carry them over the finish line. That's our country In a nutshell definitely a small fraction of what's wrong but the little things lead onto bigger things which in turn throws everything off. Our country is now fat and lazy , we want everything faster , cheaper and disposable. Our politicians can stay in office forever and make a career out of it..... There is soo many flaws it would set us right back hard to fix everything , then the other half would complain and raise a stink. Times are different now compared to back when integrity and doing the right thing was important.

Yes, I realize that, I was on my way back from the gym and just hit wiki. What caught my eye tho was the projected increase of 9% per year. Sequestration didn't really start until this year. It would be nice to see accurate current numbers. We all know that pie chart is misleading. There was just an article a week or so back where the pentagon is refusing to release where they spent shit tons of money.

On a few things yes, on other fronts no. Our economy has improved immensely under Obama, strangely enough the second term of Clinton's was also big time economy growth. Then came Bush. Is any one ma responsible, I doubt it, but we definitely found out war will hurt our economy. I do appreciate the difficulty Obama had to go through to finally pull the plug on Iraq and draw down in Afghanistan but if he didn't when do we? To think that in 3 years or ten years they will all of a sudden be more competent and less corrupt is a fools bet. Saddam knew how to run his country, we wrecked it.
