Legal rights (Miranda, gun ownership, expectation of privacy, etc) can be suspended but it is still up to the individual to acquiesce.
People will vote for rights, they will talk about their right, but how many will die for their rights? Martial law will bring out those who will to actually fight back. I don’t think it will happen right away but if it goes on for long enough people will fight back.
