Suboxone-
Suboxone-
Is there anyone else in here that is currently or has been addicted to suboxone?
..well i have! Was on opiates for years and lost everything and the only way i could get "clean" was to get addicted to another drug.suboxone-although at the time i decided it was better than the alternitive?is it/was it? Idk? Like aas everyones body and mind is different.and addiction effects us different.so i guss what im getting at is there any1 who is struggling to "ween" off suboxone or methadone? And is there any1 that has completed the "suboxone program"? If any1 knows me im not much for writing as it shows but its been on my mind and it helps me hearing sucess stories and is also nice being able to help another brother or sister out.so please how is everyone?.......-peace-

For me, trying to come off suboxone was way worse then coming off opiates.
I was a hardcore herion addict for many years and used subutex several times. It can be used on a quick one or two week taper to take the edge off of the.... Pain of withdrawl... No matter what we do we are going to be really uncomfortable for weeks after. I found a two week taper then something to help regulate sleep for a month or two was the trick for me. There is no such the as a magic pill we still have to pay the price. The desire to truly be clean and a little support will work! You can do it... FR me if you want.
bigwillyWell put there is no magic pill.
Hitman187anyone ever use xanax to kick subs? im gonna be forced to detox soon so if anyone has any pointers id appreciate it.
also im on 8mgs i wana try and ween down i just dont kno if i can.... has anybody weened off twice one time on high dose, other a lower dose? im just trying to see how much weening down really helps
AnonStart weening slow as slow as you can and at that dose for a bit drop again
Force dropping is gonna be a little rough
It needs to be planned
I used kratom to beat my opiate addiction. Might want to look onto it. 4 weeks of kratom, cannabis, and apple cider vinegar. After the first week I was A-ok.
i did too.. did a one month kratom taper during my oxy detox and when i came off kratom i felt alittle uncomfortable for like a day or two.. honestly felt like caffeine withdrawals. kratom truly is a life saver
Never heard of it, I'll have to check that out, minus the cannabis tho.
Kratom's active alkaloid triggers the same receptors and calms the nerves. It's like eating Norcos to me.
I just read up on it..that's pretty cool shitt..seems like it would be impossible to get treated in the states tho..don't know any local kratom dealers myself lol its not something to stay on but would definently be a great thing to use when detoxing ..and weed too, I use to smoke daily especially when I was dope sick..its been a long time since I blazed last.
bro dont listen to people saying all your doing is swapping one addiction for another.. if you truly want to quit then kratom is a great tool, but it has to be used correctly so you wont see your self using it long term and becoming dependent on it.. you need to also find the right strains that work for you. start off with a sample pack and try different strains to see which one your body likes the most .. get your self enough for a few weeks and start a taper regimen with kratom.. and its really not necessary to do more then a month taper..
Its easy to get off the internet.
Agreed.
I am currently trying to ween off suboxone. I just grew tired of the chase seems like day in and day out its a run to try to find more and I get 90 a month but it's never enough. At first I thought how great it was to use it to quit pain pills but in the end it was no better. Still always searching and wasting money I don't have to just get by without being sick. I just want to know what it is like to get up and not need something to just get through my day. I have kids who for now have no idea of my habit but as they get older they will eventually figure it out. I watched my dad die when I was 10 because of pills and I seen suboxone as a way out but it has just prolonged the eniviable. I just wish I knew why I keep taking it and knowing that yeah I have it now but I will run out and I will be sick. This has been one road I don't ever want to go down again. I see it causing problems with my marriage already. I've wasted bill money to just buy more strips. Six years ago I would have never thought I would be in this shape today. On the bright side I am 72 hours clean with just the help of one strip to fight withdraws. I pray that this time I have the strength to finally quit and never look back. Today wasn't to bad just minor muscle aches and the bubble guts but no sweeting or chilling so things are improving by the day. Hope the best for all here and that we can all put our past behind us and move on to a brighter future without suboxone or opiate pain killers.
Moved to off topic... (Suited for the recovery lounge just as well if not more so).
If this topic somehow related to AAS use, then the General Topic thread would be OK, e.g., if your question was, "Is using this drug a problem when on cycle". or "Has anyone used this while on cycle".
PhishphanSorry and thanks.intried to move it but couldnt figure out how.i didnt see the magnifing glass icon as directed below.and thanks again
My suggestion to use the magnifying glass had nothing to do with moving this topic. The magnifying glass is the search function. Nothing more.
PhishphanOhh ok shit.im trying to get the hang of it.not to tech smart or smart abt it at all.thanks and no pun intended
I've been on 8mg suboxone a day for the last 6 months..and I'm beginning to hate it man. I love how I don't get cravings for dope but now I have to take subs everyday to function.I'm afraid to come off and face the cravings again. If I could be on it forever that would be great, but not practical. Its not meant to be on forever. Its meant to help u while u develope a support group and a steady recovery, which I do have. But I know I feel better on subs, its a great drug to get ppl off opiates but now I feel addicted to subs mentally and physically. Its funny this subject came up, I was short a few this month and didn't have any today and was feeling sick of course. finally I found one and spent 15$ on it. I feel better now but I chased that sub just like I chased my drug of choice in the past. I could have waited to see the doctor tomorrow And get the script but that addiction kicked in and I spent the money to get one when I could have just dealt with it for one whole day. Its good and bad all at the same time. I want to ween off sometime soon.don't want to be dependent on suboxone like I already am. But hey atleast I'm not out robbing houses and catching cases like I did when I was shooting dope..suboxone is great, but needs to be used correctly..I hate seeing ppl use subs when they can't find dope but the moment they get dope they get high. Should be used as a program to get ur life straight and not just something to use till the next high..
rocketballzActually bro it is possible to be on for your entire life. Lifetime maintenance. The issue is the cost. Some insurance pays for it some doesn't and people like me were forced to shell out $400 a month every month for 8 years! My doctor told me a low dose of suboxone is possible to take for one's entire life. Over 90% of your opioid receptors are covered at just 4 mgs. For me, 8 mgs. was an option for the rest of my life because it made my life sooooo much better. I got over the "Im addicted to something" real quick when I figured out that it improved my life with absolutely zero side effects and/or consequences. But I ultimately came off for my wife who COULDN'T get over the fact that I was addicted to something.
Hitman187agreed... if i seen someone was serious about getting clean, id give them a few to help them out, but if you only want one til you find more dope its $10. suboxone has been great for me over the past year but now i think its holding me back from progressing further in life. i need to quit soon because its too expensive, i just need to get my head rite b4 attempting it in the next month or so. i wana be able to quit my first time trying because once you've felt that pain and you know what your in for, your gonna dread even making a 2nd attempt
PhishphanTotally agree..u withdraw from them just the same imo..hell they go for 20-30$ here.lol could be worse.lol..hang n there.and for the moment ya gotta go with what feels right.
I just hate having to take it daily..if insurance gets cut or something I'd be screwed, and I'm the type of addict that if I'm sick I'll take pills or snort heroin..wouldn't matter as long as I wasn't sick..I've been thru sub detox before and it actually was as bad as opiate withdraw and even lasted longer..it has its good/bad that come with it..but I wish I never got on it cause coming off it is inevitable and the longer iI'm on it, the harder it will be to get off it. Definently helped me out but in the long run I just traded one addiction for another..but least I'm not robbing pharmacy's cause I ran out of suboxone lol
PhishphanKemosahbee-irongame- yea i feel the same way abt it.although somedays i wish there was another way but fuckin withdraw sucks ass.atleast feeling well is good enuff ya know? Irongame- have u noticed any loss of size or strength n the gym? Kemosahbee-i too have had that happen to me.was always wondering if it was the subs doing that to me.i guess yur right it did.its nice to know im not the only person who fought or is fighting addiction.1 day at a time u guys
Noo ive only gotten bigger stronger and leaner since being on them. my life is stable now. It wasn't at all before so i stay on my diet i dont have days where I'm high as shit and only eat 500 cals. Everrythings better now. I could give two shits about withdrawals from roxys i went thru it cold turkey probably 50 times thats not why i got on subs. I can always quit opiates and last between 1 week and 5 months before i relapse but never longer. I was doing this to finally put that shit in the past and thats whats exactly what ive done.
rocketballzX2 brother. Amen to that! The altenative to suboxone, i.e. dope, pills, etc is completely unacceptable.
Swonky...Hello brother. I have battled with addiction myself obmver the years. I have had bouts with heroine, but more of the opiate pain pill addiction.I have been on a Suboxone program for the last 16 months and it has definitely improved my life tremendously. Even though you have to take the good with the bad. The Suboxone has began to crash my sex drive and prolong my nuts to extent that I rarely get a nut anymore. Even with running a gram of test a week my sex drive and libido are lacking. I was worried about it hindering my gains but that isn't an issue. I understand replacing one addiction for another is a little ridiculous but overall the subs have done a great deal for me. I started the program on 3 8mg films and I am currently down to one 8mg film a day. But I usually take a 1/4 a day and that does the trick for me. I almost have the program beat and I am thankful I gave it a chance. Probably saved my life. So I feel your pain brother, I truly do.
Ya I'm on it right now not weaning or anything. Hell ya it was worth it. I've been on it for 6 months and I've had no desire to use at all. I feel normal I feel great . The constipation sucks but I've learned how treat it. I have no plans on coming off it anytime soon. Think about how life was befoe it. Who cares if you "addicted" to another drug it's not really like that. Were physically dependent on it not mentally like it was with full agonists. It's the same as someone who takes medicine for allergies or blood pressure or anything it's treating a disease. I have no problem taking it.
Hitman187id have no problem staying on them forever, but there too damn expensive. i share your views and have no problem looking at it like taking something for blood pressure, anxiety, or whatever because subs are a life saver, and taking them practically guarantees i wont use again. but being outrageously expensive, i have to quit in the next month or so
i would really look into it man long term use.. my brother used it for few years and finally managed to taper down and quit.. but he said the paws lasted about 6 months and he also feels like his brain never fully recovered.. hes about 2 years clean now and he truly believes that suboxone gave him permanent brain damage.. nobody really knows long term damage use on suboxone. i always said suboxone is a great tool to come off opiates, but i personally would never use it for more then a month taper..
I already damaged my brain from 7 years of opiate abuse. If anything its healing now. I bet its gonna be a bitch to come off. Il probably wean down very very slowly. Some people say its hell to come off and some say its a breeze.
This belongs in off topic.
It looks like you saw this: http://www.eroids.com/forum/general/off-topic/the-recovery-lounge....na-...
There has been quite a few posts about this. Use the search function above (magnifying glass). Good luck.
PhishphanSorry i did.looking for it and this iphone is tricky for me.lol..thanks and yea it would be a better place for this huh
I just put "Suboxone" in the search function and it came up with all kinds of forum topics. Great place to start. I know I've seen this answered many times before. Just trying to point you in the right direction.
PhishphanGood looking out bro..will see if i can get it moved
