RICK-MISSING SINCE 2008

ad

So i been in da iron-game 20 years. I have had many partners,da good,da bad,and da ugly. All in all 90% were losers after what i call cyco's trial, slash probation period. But in 2006 i found my partner-his motivation, hunger, determination was topnotch. We had da greatest workouts,we were deep into da game-doing whatever it took to reach da next level. We finally got a apt together, and even tho it was in da gutter we did not care,it was cheap and allowed us to spend our cash on our addiction. All we cared about was a full fridge, supps, and da best gear. We worked in construction 12 hours in da hot sun,but we packed 3 coolers of goodies everyday. we had to pin our gear in da nearest gas station,or porter-potty if they had one on site. Well at da start of 2008 i noticed him breaking,i did everything to try to piece him back together,,from soft spoken comforting words to all out tuff-love. i even bought him his fav gear out of my pocket and placed 6 vials of top-notch gear, along wit orals on his bed, like rose petals. he was like dude u can have it,i just lost da love,my girl-friend broke up with me-and im just torn. Well i kept on doing what i could. Went to da store, came back he was gone, letter on kitchen counter-explaining his sob story. Ffoward months later i found out he was back wit his girlfriend, went to his place;surprise him,yea he seen a ghost, well he lost all his gains,in such a short time,he went from a gym junkie to a crack addict, his girlfriend was always into it,she was a stripper at tootsie strip club in fl. kept in touch for awhile,he then vanish almost going into da new yr 2009. well i just found his sister on facebook, asked her to have him call me to see what he is upto,da next day he told her he did not want to see me,cuz he was shameful on his decisions, and is still rock bottom,to make it worst his sister dont know where he lives, all she got is his cell number,so rick im gonna put ur face on a milk carton,u will be found,,before u r.i.p...

That's deep. I agree with Greg, unfortunately Rick's the only one that can change Rick. Even though we so desperately want to have influence on the outcome, only the person involved has the ability to make the change.

Bummer. About 30 years ago, in another life, I was Rick.
It's a tough road and unfortunately there's nothing you or anyone can do to help him. Hopefully he'll pull himself up as I did and be the better for it.

I liken my experience to living the rock opera Tommy. Deaf, dumb, blind kid meets the acid queen. In the end his experience's open his eyes and he's the better for it.

That said, I would never wish that path on anyone. I was lucky.
