I never use to do anything at all, but since my pec tear and rotator injury I'm a Big believer now in Spikey recovery balls!!! Lol Who knew such a simple little tool could work so well, its great for front and side delt soreness and chest when you lean against it into the wall. You know instantly when you are into the sore or injured spot, roll around against it and then feel the blood rush into it afterwards which is where the recovery starts. Make sure you do it when you are drinking your Whey/BCAA's or collagen as research shows when done at the same time protein synthesis within the tendon and muscle becomes twice the normal rate.
Here, feel free to Look at my balls :-)
You could try yoga, meditation and I also would recommend visiting a chiropractor. Also, it would be great for your body to avoid sugar and fried food. After the gym, I often had pain muscle and back pain because the whole day I spent in front of my laptop at work so I don't lead an active lifestyle. A chiropractor whom I found here https://kosakchiro.com/, said my muscles were always strained and my body didn't look great because of stressful work and anxiety. And after a few visits to chiropractic adjustments, I improved my body's physical function and got rid of stress and back and muscle pain.
Eat sleep
I go to the chiropractor regularly. It really helps but I don’t have the luxury of going post workout. About 20 years ago he told me to workout after an adjustment and it would help set it in. Now he tells me to stop lifting weights lol. My body is still stiffer than f**k though. I thought about taking yoga classes but they are canceled right now due to COVID but they were free at my gym. Also thought about massaging too but kind of expensive. Only have had chair massages at the gym.
I do have a Thera gun. That is great at getting knots out. I would highly recommend one. Got mine last Black Friday for 399 instead of 599. It’s only a couple weeks out.
i used to go to the chiro once a week but my guy moved and it got pricey. same with massages, expensive AF lol. i have one of those guns from bed bath and beyond for like 100$ but my girl isnt around all the time to hit my back.
My old chiropractor moved about 38 miles away, but it’s worth it to travel he only charges $15 which is insane and you can go up to 3 time a day at that price. Plus I’m pretty sure you can expense medical mileage at .17 cents a mile so I figured that about covers the cost of the adjustments I just have to pay for the drive and it’s a small city that I would go to a couple times a month anyway. He still makes good money, he processes patients in less than 5 minutes each unless there is a X-ray or consultation. So I can afford to go frequently.
Sex on the sea
Molinin302I recently bought a TENS unit, they're pretty cheap these days. I highly recommend getting yourself one.
my dad has one of these. ill have to dig it up, i forgot about it
Sleeping really helps a lot. So does staying hydrated. I think a lot of folks underestimate sleep.
I second getting solid sleep.
yeah past couple days have been shitty sleeping for me. i need my daytime naps back
It’s the main thing holding me back, sleeping that is. It’s probably more important than anything else we do.
Definitely - I'd say its ahead of eating if you had to choose between the 2. I remember when I had toothache and couldn't sleep for about 3 days, but in that time I was eating tonnes and tonnes of food. I thought it would benefit recovery but it didn't at all because I wasn't sleeping and allowing the muscle to rebuild during REM phase sleep.
Well Bob, I for one look great in yoga pants.
pics or not true
This is my coved body so don't judge...
Yoga works great I been doing off and on for years
