+ 1 Progress or what?
ad
It was announced a couple of days ago that the first ever Probe had reached the Sun’s outer atmosphere and its Corona.
Since the announcement was made, I’ve heard several skeptical voices stating it all is a load of bullshit and just a scheme, lying to gullible people and getting money. That in reality no spacecrafts are flying up there but what we are shown is just a pretty picture.
What do you think?

Exactly.! They've been trying to convince us for years that Earth is a round. We all know that's a lie.
Makes no sense. If it were round, how could it sit on the back of the Cosmic Turtle?
AnonTang is trash. There, I said it.
And 23 billion is equivalent to a $2 cup of coffee for the US.
Like Greg said we actually get a huge amount of return from the space program, including trash tang.
It’s amazing how people can be so suspicious, “nasa is a hoax”, “the moon landing was faked” and my favorite…..”birds aren’t real“
SERIOUSLY. Google BIRDS AREN’T REAL, some of you people are absolutely fucking retarded.
TricepatopsThe guys who made up the birds aren't real were in on the joke they were making fun of Qanon people and the anti vac people wth their fake conspiracy theories they put out and others. Like the newest information is buy some dirt that stops you from getting it Covid. They are selling it for 100 dollars a bag and people are drinking it with water and bathing their kids in it. The people selling the dirt have made alot of money by pushing fake information ofn people It is sad yet comical that people believe this. Come to find out the dirt was analyzed and had lead and arsenic in it and other containments in it. Or other dumb stuff people think is true like Jewish space lasers starting Forrest fires and other stupid shit. They were just making a point at how stupid people can be and how lies spread so easily with no scientific evidence at all with social media. It is hilarious because they started birds aren't real and so many people were believing what they were saying and getting into heated arguments with people. It was shown to see how easy people think social media is real news or information. It was essentially making fun of the fake conspiracy theories QAnon puts out. How people who rely on only these types of places for information is making the US citizens dumber.
Dammit! I wish I read this a few months ago. You would have saved me a lot of money. Plus, I still can’t get by bath tub clean.
TricepatopsThe dirt tastes dam good. Lol
As I understand "Birds are not real" is a parody movement, "fighting lunacy with lunacy", mocking the ones obsessed with the conspiracy theories.
I think all you's people need to go to school. There are unfathomable amounts of spin off tech we have gotten from the space program. Medical monitoring equipment, electronic miniaturization, insolating materials, navigation, weather forecasting, atmospheric study, Tang... things that have saved lives and made life a lot easier. Humans can't live on earth forever. No matter how green we become, the sun will eventually eat the earth. The survival of earthlings depends on space colonization.
Right you are, military and space industry has given more discoveries than science has ever come up with
TricepatopsIt is all really science if your looking at the whole picture it takes science engineering to do what these military and space programs have done. Military gets away with alot of studies others can't humanly do. Other countries military programs probably do alot worse then the US but I could be wrong but I can guarantee humans are being subjected to studies they don't want to do.
WTF? Do you think Captain America is real?
ARPAnet, the precursor to the internet, was developed by military tech.
Digital Cameras, a spinoff from military tech
GPS, a spinoff from military tech
Drones, you guessed it, a spinoff from military tech
Duct tape, another spinoff from military tech
Microwaves (magnetron) developed for radar systems are a spinoff from military tech that are now used in microwave ovens.
Jet engines; a spinoff from military tech
Super Glue and Canned food are also spinoffs from military tech
The list is endless.
TricepatopsIt is a waste of money.
RustyhookerI think that theres hard working families can barely keep food on the table yet the govt shoots a billion dollar probe up to be melted.
If only we were socialists. That wouldn't happen. Right comrade?
RustyhookerWith fjb in charge commerade.....we are
It's all bs. You can tell it's all computer generated graphics. Their videos obviously look so fake. NASA's budget for 2021 is $23.3 BILLION. That's their way of funneling money into who knows what, and who knows who.
Here's just one video showing "astronauts" dropping objects in so-called "zero gravity" aboard the International Space Station

Just think of how many starving and abused children in around the US that could help & save, look after and rehome. Education programmes, drug rehabilitation centres, vaccination drives, shelters it could sort out rather than this stupid obsession with Space which is completely irrelevant to any of our lives right now. $23 BILLION DOLLARS .....
Your words make sense, however, if we think deeper, progress brings much profit to us all. Imagine where we all would have been if Fleming had not discovered penicillin, or Columbus hadn't sailed across the world.
True!
