So I decided to go donate blood today. RED Cross had their little mobile donating center outside my gym. They were giving away 30$ Visa’s. So I was like well shit I’m not turning down free money. I have to give away blood anyways because I’m sure my RBC is high. Anyways I sat down she was at least using a 8g or 10g needle. I’m very veiny and she jabbed me at least 10 times and still couldn’t get the needle in the vein. I asked her what was wrong and she said I had to much muscle. Long story short it sucked ass but I still got my 30$ Visa. Oh and I got 3 ribeyes with my visa.

Nice... I use the ONE BLOOD mobile bus when they park outside of LA FITNESS once a month. They got smart & hit up all the juice heads. Not sure if that is morally correct, but they are doing it. Anyway, they give out two free movie passes. I guess thats worth $20-25 bucks!
I had a goodlooking new girl do mine at the doctors office for my trt doc. She found the vein no problem starting pulling blood filled one vial went to fill another vial then the needle fell out.. she said shit! What vein should she use now. I said girl stick it back into the same one....

My right side vein really sticks out so they prefer that one, but they have never had a problem getting it in.
Both sides I have veins sticking out. The lady turned the fan on because I got pissed she could probably feel the heat radiating off of me. I didn’t say anything rude but I was very close. You don’t have to be Einstein to stick a IV in someone that has a road map going through out them.
Being in the medical field, I can confirm. Veiny people are great sticks. Sometimes the veins roll, but nothing a little tension on the skin doesn't fix.
Sometimes you get a trainee. You can definitely ask for a different nurse if she’s jabbed 3 times and can’t hit a vein.

Molinin302Red Cross has a donor app, can schedule your appointments near you, don't have to do the questions every time, shows your blood type and donation history. Can just download it and forget about it.
