Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps ate 12000 calories a day. He is known to have done weed, but I'm kinda wondering if he was on equipoise as well.
I know they let at least 2 ug/L of nandrolone so they obviously let people do steroids (which is pretty bullshit in my opinon) since I'm pretty sure no one produces nandrolone naturally.
So how likely do you think it is that Phelps was on boldenone?
Thread inspired by cheating.

Well, it's like our Aussie 5 times gold medal winner Ian Thorpe.
Rumour has it that they had introduced new testing in France which caught a lot of people out and within that year they all just "retired" at the top of their game. Some have tried to make a comeback like 5 years later and never succeeded. I think that Marion Jones was one of them at the time too who was given the retirement plan or we blow your cover.
Example:- Most athletic drug test take into consideration two key factors, testosterone levels and epitestosterone levels and by the guidelines of the IOC, anyone with a ratio 6:1 test:epi-test is considered to have failed the drug test. “The Clear” eliminated this problem allowing its users to raise their testosterone levels but to simultaneously raise their epitestosterone levels as well; love it or hate it no one can deny this is nothing short of pure genius. Much like your run of the mill testosterone gel, this steroid cream will not provide a massive boost in performance, it will not provide a massive boost in strength or size but it will give an added edge in an undetectable manner. This product is however very hard to find and most will never see it; if you do run across it though you can expect to pay an exuberant price. <- cut and paste from website.
AnonHow does that explain the nandrolone levels. If they were just raising testosterone and epitestosterone levels then nandrolone wouldn't show up.
sgtstedankoBlood doping, and training in high altitude, anyone? If they do, It's probably something that doesn't stick around too Long, brother. Those dudes get tested @ random, which would make it very very difficult.
AnonWell the US olympic training place is like at 4000ft elevation so they definitely have that going for them, but I still don't see how they can have trace amounts of nandrolone in their system without actually taking the substance.
To me that just seems a bit fishy. Although who knows maybe I'm wrong and they all are legit, but athletes have been getting better and faster and stronger almost every year and to me it seems less likely that they're genetically superior and more likely that they're just getting better at getting through the system.
Also I mean there are people (such as Marion Jones - 5 time gold medalist who admitted to using boldenone) who used and didn't get caught till after they admitted to using.
She tested negative for high amounts of EPO after testing positive earlier then later confessed to using performing enhancing drugs and got some jail time for lying to a grand jury.
To me it just seems a bit fishy.
sgtstedankoOh, I'm not saying they don't. They most certainly do... I'm just saying, that I don't know, what, how, etc, etc, etc... It must be difficult getting around testing. Unless of course, somebody gets a heads up.
AnonThey must have some system.
Michael Phelps does have crazy genes suited for swimming though and maybe he didn't do roids. No one can say he isn't a dolphin kick legend and doesn't deserve his medals. Just curious to see other peoples thoughts on whether they believe he did roids or not.
no... EQ stays in system for half a year there is no way he did eq.
AnonYeah, but they allow certain levels of these steroids in their system and maybe EQ does, but a shorter estered boldenone such as boldenone acetate wouldn't.
Nandrolone stays in the body for an exceptionally long time as well, but when they tested 621 athletes for it like 500 came up positive for it in very low amounts around .4ug/L and they even allow up to 2ug/L.
Obviously names are confidential, but that study is public knowledge without the names of the athletes.
