Injectable Iron

Can anyone suggest a place fore injectable iron?

Unless you're Menstruating or pregnant why would you want to? Men typically don't need iron supplements. In fact, most multivitamins made for men do not include iron.

Iron deficiency is uncommon among adult men. Individuals should only take iron supplements when prescribed by a physician because of their greater risk of iron overload. Iron overload is a condition in which excess iron is found in the blood and stored in organs such as the liver and heart. Iron overload is associated with several genetic diseases

Thanks Hardbdy! Yes the iron supps would be for loading epo. You get you iron levels tested before doing anything. You load with iron and other vitamins for 2 wks to get your iron levels up to HIGH NORMAL (not above). After this (and a few other things as well) is done then you will be able to benefit from the epo. E and iron are nothing to mess around with without extensive research and proper blood tests. Honestly if I wasn't in the health field and have the education I do I wouldnt even be supping E. I would say epo is probably the most complicated PED I have yet to read about. Without the proper iron supps you will be unable to produce the RBC's the E is dishing out. When this happens you feel like shit basically. Like I have said many times before if anyone decides to take the leap they need to be fully confident in their knowledge or have a doc monitoring them.

I've been running for years and have been able to get plenty of iron through my normal diet. It's almost hard to find a food that does not have iron.

LOL; I think I misread your original reply. Granted, my comment is with the assumption he's healthy and not taking anything adversely affecting his iron levels.

No one will answer my questions on another site about this. This other site is a great place to get info on any endurance type information and definatley epo. There is alot of stuff out there for injectable iron for "baby anemic pigs" but not alot of info. I know these guys are using IM iron. They have stated it numerous times but they dont give out sources over there unless your a vet. Its just a god damn vitamin people!Hmmmmmm. Back to the search engines.

Its one of a few vitamins you need for loading before you start an epo cycle in order to get your blood ferritin levels in the high range. When you start your epo your iron levels drop and you wont make a proficient amount of red blood cells. So you will basically waist a good 2-300$ I learned that the hard way lol. I could take oral iron but IM is better absorbed and less sides.

Are you talking about Articlox (B12)?

ch4el5onnen's picture

No, I have injectable B12 I use. My last EPO cycle I used ferrochel iron (oral)but you take about 12 a day until you get your levels up there to produce a sufficiant amount of RBC's and it can be hard on the GI track especially overtime. The only injectable iron I can find is for vetrinarian uses. Maybe thats what some of these endurance athletes are using??? I can't find a whole lot of info on it. Alot of EPO info is kept pretty private because the cyclists don't want WADA knowing their secrets.
