Gyno removal surgery

So I'm one if those unlucky bastards that had lactating gyno going through puberty, luckily I was a twig or I would've had tits. Anyway I've been off cycle for about 5months now and my gyno is increasing. I believe it is due to some protei I was using that had soy in it which always a negative effect on me. Long story short, I might be getting the surgery to remove the gyno paid by insurance due to a maternal aunt having breast cancer.
Has anyone else had this surgery and how long were you out? Any personal experience is appreciated

you can still get gyno after the surgery, still have to be careful.
I just had a fatty tissue which was considered gyno removed couple months ago and yes it was covered by insurance with no family history

Any way as far as downtime, a bro at the gym had it done. He was back lifting in 3 weeks. But he is still sensitive 5 months later. He says it doesn't bug him though. Are you getting the whole gland and fatty tissue removed?

According to my primary, yes. Obviously I'll double check. The rate of breast cancer is much higher in men than it is in women so it's viewed as preventative especially in those whose maternal side had it
Whaaatt. I gotta look into that. I just wanna Yank my glands so I don't even have to worry about gyno anymore. That'd be tight if I could get it covered by my insurance. Moms mom had breast cancer too so there's my way in.
Worth a shot. I'm meeting my surgeon Friday to discuss it and I'll post back here to let you know
