My La Fitness Gym membership is ending soon. A Gold's is being soon to open nearby. I know this has been discussed in previous thread. I just wanted to get some FRESH input. Every Gold's is different i know. 24 hour fitness, and all other gyms get the job done yes i know... What is the equipment like?? Does it really cater to bodybuilders or not really??? is it more serious gym goers??? If it has hotter chicks i'm in!!!!! I need some motivation!!!

Every gym I've been to always has different people. You just have to get a week trial. My 24 around the block has nothing but old people. My LA fitness down the block is where all the hotties and juiceheads go.
BUT on the other side of the town...LA fitness has all old people and the 24 has all the hotties (it's near a college campus)
So honestly, there really is no telling.
CleyonI work out at two seperate Gold's Gyms. One is a franchise, one is a corporate owner one. The corporate one is much nicer, but the franchise offers amenities like tanning.
I looove my Golds but there is some riff raff during the busy hours. All in all..i love the variety of equipment and how big it is. I would live there if i could...wait...i practically do.
Gold's gym vary every where.. there are two near me..and there in
awful shape. Would love to have one like the bigger cities.

personally I prefer a smaller atmosphere, not so much corporate feel. I have a golds membership and I like it but almost too big and too many machines.
sgtstedanko24 hr has the cuties w/the tig ol bitties, brother... For me, there's nothing more motivating than a hot woman. It's why "we" do what we do... I am quite biased though, as my 1st was at a gym that 24 hr bought out, & they gave me lifetime membership (that I rarely get to use, these days). I'd recommend getting a trial membership at each gym, just to see where you fit in, best.
CleyonGood advice there! Trial memberships allow you to hit each gym at different hours over a two week period, really get to know them.
