Call me old fashioned if you like, but when I see somebody giving themselves the handle Sickc**t it makes me cringe. I realize this is a testo filled environment on here and language breaks out often in heated debate and argument. However there are all sorts of members on here including ladies (who are more than capable of speaking up for themselves without my help)who may well take offence at gratuitous obscenities. I can F and B along with the best of them and am no saint, but come on have have some respect!

Well I have seen a couple of times, newbies try and use a username/handle that is too similar to a well known EROID's persona. ie: I saw someone try out the name tread-n, also last week there was a jayhawkrs1 (similar to a former MOD "jayhawks").
There comes a point when certain names or "copycat" names need to be off limits. Other wise it could be kaos, just think if we had a PFG, or a GRRRRRRRL with one more or less "R".
And for the record, KMC are the initals of my ex's present husband.
If certain words were not allowed during the initial registration process, it would be a different story. Although, when it comes down to it (whether it is 'right' or 'wrong'), he didn't violate any rules selecting that username.
So technically, unless the rules are changed, he hasn't done anything 'wrong'.
On a moral level, though, its a bit different and that is up for debate.

There are certain handles we will censor for safety or trademark purposes but censorship can become a slippery slope... the kid (yes, he's obviously a youngster screaming for attention) is only guilty of being young and dumb and having poor taste
I hear you hllwd. It's not so long back though that a somebody purporting to be a reporter for the BBC was trawling this site and no doubt so do others from various other media. There might be a million positive things going on on this site but you know that people will always try to make a meal out of the negative. In my mind it does nothing to help the image of this site and and the image of AS in general with that type of thing. It might be an acceptable handle on some sicko pedophile porn site, but to my mind it is out of place on here. He may be young and dumb and have poor taste. If he needs attention then maybe somebody should have a kind word in his ear and tell him to go away and come back with a new handle more suited. maybe I'm going over the top, but again I'm only voicing my opinion.
angusI think that if attention is what he seeks then he is getting it here, so we are feeding into it a bit; however, it would also appear he has gotten the attention of the velvet hammer and that can't be good.
Somehow I doubt he has even found his way out of the source reviews section never mind bathing in glorious attention over here.
