DOWN for now but NOT out of the game..
Well my eroid peeps, just when you think it can not happen to you, reality hits you. Never did I think that I would be subject to any heart issues BUT the real world has other thoughts. Leaving the gym Friday after one of my MOBMAN style workouts, I began to feel some tightness and discomfort througout my chest, arms and fingers. Me thinking it was just something minor, I was on my way home to relax and see what happens. While driving, it was getting worse so I then went directly to the ER. Once arrived, an EKG was done immediatley, then I was wheeled into the back area to be undressed and prepped for an Angiogram as they said I was suffering from a heart attack based on the EKG reading. They performed the Angiogram to find NO clots or obstructions or blockages to repair and said my heart was very strong. Was admitted for further testing to be performed. An Echo Cardiogram was performed the next day as the same result, could not find anything to cause concern. A true mystery from all the doctors involved as to why this happened and no proof to show why it did. I am going do one more outpatient process in 10 days per the Cardiologist so that NO open windows were not left unchecked. Can not say enough about this Hospital I went to, I felt like the president as they waisted NO time to get me in and take care of the issue. We are all just human and can experience some difficulties as we get older as age does take its effect on all of us. I will be off training for a few to rest and recover BUT I will be back full steam ahead soon to again make some gains I had anticipated to in the near future. Listen to your body ppl when It tells you something, there is a reason for this and should not be ingnored by anyone.. Peace out to all and may great health be with you all.. MOBMAN702..

Hitman187good luck brother, i wish you a full and speedy recovery. i can currently relate to this as im also having heart issues. my cardiologist is sending me to a surgeon to have my aortic heart valve replaced. i somehow caught a bacteria that effects the heart (endocraditis). the bacteria caused a vegetation to grow on my heart valve which caused it to leak severely and thus damaging it to the point i need it replaced.
glad you got checked out. its always good to get checked out even if the symptoms are minor and we think its no big deal. now that i was diagnosed with endocraditis i know all the signs/ symptoms, and looking back i had signs of having endocraditis well over a year ago, but they were minor signs i thought were no big deal. i didn't get checked out until the symptoms became severe and i was going into heart failure. who knows maybe if i would have gotten checked out sooner i would have caught it earlier on and now i wouldn't be sitting on the sidelines about to have heart surgery.
Wow.. man I hope you do well and have the best and speedy recovery homie.. Mine is minimal compared to what you are going through.. My father had that valve replaced at the age of 83 and he is still checking along so I know you will do the same.. Prayers and thoughts to u sir and may good health be in your life when this is all done.. Peace Out..
It's a good thing you listened and went to the hospital when you did. I'm glad you're ok. I have a history of heart disease in my family. So I've been getting regular check ups with my dr. This is definitely an eye opener though. We aren't getting any younger. I'll keep you in my prayers bro.
thanks homie.. Yep, we are not getting any younger and the body seems to speak to us as we age more so. Glad they found nothing but still gonna play it on the cautious level for now. I will be back full steam in a few weeks so I am not worried. One more test next Thursday just to make sure all the basis have been covered. Thanks for stopping by brother.. Peace Out..
didn't see this to late mobman. I agree with other concerned eroid brothers get well soon. I'm especially happy u went to check it out cuz as men we always put it off to last min well I know I do get well
Agreed brother sic26.. As much as I don't wanna hold back, I must do so just to be on the safe side.. Thanks for stopping by bud.
I wish you a quick recovery fella and take plenty of rest ...the weights can be put on hold for the time being...its nice to look good and lift like a man on a mission but that all means nothing if we don't have health.
Sending you best wishes my friend
Much appreciated cd1.. I hear ya loud and clear and agree totally. Its just me that can't stand being held down against my control but this is beyond that and health is of more importance here. But the MOB will be back soon I can guarantee that..
Glad your doing well brother, yes listening to your body signs is very important,,, Cajunfire.
Get well soon brother Cajun.. We r all praying for ur health and well being..
Thanks brother, much appreciated.
Scary stuff. Good thing you listened to your body and didn't try to push the envelope any further. A little R&R is good sometimes so take advantage of it.
Agreed totally. Getting that now so my come back will be even stronger..
Mobman so glad you went in. Lost a great mountain of a man in my father to a aneurism in his heart. A man that never backed down from anyone but was stubborn and ignored the signs. Heal up my friend. Better days ahead. Just keep all the thoughts of Eva out of your head til you know your good. Lol
Thanks so much fusebox.. So am i as well.. We as warriors and AAS heads dont wanna believe we are subject to these things but in reality, WE ARE.. Sorry for your loss in your father as well. I am sure he was an inspriation to you and others durng his time. I will be back soon my brother so take care as always..
And I will keep ole EVA out of those thoughts for now, she will definantly raise the BP to another level. LOL.
@mobman702, you are quite a character, with your love for sexy women who lift! (I certainly can't fault you there.) However, your constant vigilance on this forum to promote safety, intelligence, and encouragement for men to embrace intense workouts is much appreciated and does not go unnoticed.
We are all human. None of us gets off this rock for free. We all gotta pay the reaper. If possible, let's make that fucker wait as long as we can until we pay him, eh?
I'm adding my voice to all of the voices here, brother. Rest, recover, and dominate, as only the Mobman knows how. Cheers friend!
Thanks so much zeus.. I try to make ppl laugh now and then.. I have done my best to do all those things you mentioned for this community and will continue as long as I am around my brother.. The reaper is just that,"The Reaper" but its gonna take alot more for him to take sole custody and claim of "THE MOB" as far as I am concerned. I do appreciate all your positivity and kind words very mcuh, you are a true brother and I thank you sir for stopping by..
Omg bro I'm glad you are ok and that you didn't just ride it out. Heal up brother, be safe my man
Thank you buddy. So am I.. I am stubborn in many ways but in this instance, I listened to what was being told to me...
Haha I am too an based on this I'm gonna donate
Sorry for your hardship brother Mobman but very happy that your prognosis is excellent! It must be comforting to know that your heart is functioning normally without any clots or blockages! I'll keep you close to my thoughts! Before you know, you'll be grinding away again!
Best wishes always my friend! Take care!
Thanks so much brother Theo... It is comforting but also confusing as to why this happened clearly but there are a few things discussed here that make alot of sensce as to why it might have occurred. However, I will be back to what I do best soon enough and always, I really appreciate your kind words and thoughts. Best to you as well my good friend and yours..
Glad you're doing well.
On the bright side, now you know your arteries are nice and clear. That's a plus!
That is the great part of all this to know.. My heart is strong like a 25 yr old they told me and clear of any obstructions or concerns.. Appreciate you stopping by broski.. Take care as well..
Damn man...god bless u mob. My heart goes out to u homie. Glad u caught that and thanks for refreshing our thoughts about the possiblities that we dont think about on a daily basis. Recover quickly brother.
Thanks selfster for that... Truly I am greatful for the brother hood I have here on eroids.. We all can learn from one another during the good and most trying times in our lives.. I will be back stronger then ever soon. Thanks again my brother...
About a year and a half ago I had tightness in chest and occasional sharp pains. Never thought anything of it. Blew it off to, cramps or something due to high intensity lifting.
Mentioned it to my doc, and all my ekgs came back the same. So she said let's go see a cardio just to be safe.
Cardio did a ecogram (I believe that's what it's called....like a sonogram for the heart)
So after the results. Doc says nothing to worry about but he wants me to see a heart surgeon. He keeps saying nothing to worry about , but still needs to see surgeon.
So what he saw was that I had an enlarged aorta. Or an aneurysm in other words.
So end result after surgeon is....no open heart now. But the enlargement will never go back down. I'm on two BP meds now to slow enlargement down. Eventually in my life time I will have open heart surgery.
They didn't know aas use. But they did tell me it could be from not breathing properly while lifting. Which I knew I didnt.
They explained and showed a study that during heavy lifting your BP could and does hit to levels of 300/200. Or something crazy like this.
Everyone needs to be check and keep in control
I wish u the best of luck sir
Excellent post with great information buddy.. Thanks for sharing your experience here with mine..
Ty sir. It's definitely a scary experience.
Chance of an aneurysm anytime scares the shit out of me.
And for all of.us. if we are not careful monitoring our BP and bloods. The chance of a heart attack is always there in my eyes.
I wish you the best of luck man.
Glad you're ok.
If your angiogram was negative, it means that you didn't have any blockages at that moment. That's a good thing. However, what made your ekg look like you were having a heart attack along with the symptoms. It was probably hemo concentration from the gear. I am curious as to what your hgb and RBc counts were upon arrival. Sometimes dehydration can bring this on and the doc shooting the dye into your coronary arteries might have opened it. Non plaque blockages usually resolve themselves. Glad it resolved and there was no permanent heart damage.
My RBC's are always high due to gear usage. Hemoglobin and Hematocrit r high as well but I try to donate every 8 weeks to reduce that. They say I might have passed a blood clot somewhere but have no idea where it went.. Interesting tho..
Then that's what happened. You were hemoconcentrated and there was a small weak clot that developed. It gave you symptoms therefore something was blocked. It resolved itself. Anyway, glad you were ok. I would seriously consider aspirin therapy and obsess about hydration.
The aspirin a day theory is in place along with more blood donations to lower those counts hopefully. Thanks for you tip as it makes alot of sense to why they couldn't find why this happened..
Rosser01Damn Bro good luck and I hope that it's nothing, rest up and hope you are back in full swing soonest..!! Peace
Thanks Rosser01, I plan to be back soon.. Its kinda hard to keep the MOB down and out this easy..
This happened to me 2 1/2 years ago. Glad you came out of it OK. My blood pressure had gotten out of control, It was explained to me that the heart has a substance called Troponin and it had leaked into my bloodstream, which is equal to a heart attack. No fun being in the hospital for an entire weekend with Heparin drip and a heart monitor attached to your chest. Have to take daily medication now, but I'm still in the game. Best of luck, Mobman...
Glad you mentioned the Triponin here. My count on that after my labs was 17 and extremely high according to the Doc's. A normal reading should be from 0.00 to 0.004 and mine was at 17. They say it may have been because of the attack I just went through. It will lower as time goes by with rest and all. My BP was at 210/110 when I first arrived and high for the first nights stay. They changed my meds and got it back to normal range in the end. Thanks for your input bud...
Haven't been very active as of late but damn hope you come back stronger than ever good luck to you sir
Thank you sir and YES, I do plan a very good return when the time calls to be...
Dang! Young Man! What the Hail happened?
Keep us posted MOB on what's going on and in the meantime be well my friend.
No clue brother. Nothing in any of the tests done show why I should of had this happen. Thinking a FREAK thing however going to do what the Cardiologist says just to be sure and know for me and him. i will be back soon broski..
