Doctor Ordered Bloodwork

ad

Hey fellas been a while.

I've had elevated blood pressure for some time now, but never sought medical attention for it. I've tried all the suggested supplements, upped my cardio, tried to eliminate all the sodium I can, and can't seem to bring it down. I'm averaging 135/140 over 85/90. Off cycle it was still high and goes without saying while on also. So I decided to make a Dr appointment to see if medication was the route to take. It's been a while since I've been to the doctor so I'm considered a new patient, so they ordered the following blood work. PSA, CBC, Complete Metabolic Panel, Microalbumin, complete UA, TSH and Free T4, and hepatic panel. I've always cycled completely off, My last cycle was at the end of July, but this time I have been on a cruise dose of 150mg of Test E a week since, and 10mg of cialis (in hopes it would help with my bp). Last injection was Monday of this week. I haven't got the blood work done but need to by the 13th.

My question is will my current dosage flag any of these tests and require an answer that I don't want to give? The one that has me concerned is the potential affect on PSA levels.

Appreciate any feedback.

Update: Bloods all checked out, other than WBC being out by a fraction on the low end. Doc put me on 5mg of lisinopril,128/77 just a few hours after taking the first dose. Time for a winter bulk.

No my psa is slightly higher when I am on cycle but still in range and no one is going to deny you BP medication for that or nearly any other reason. I’m on benzapril or something like that spelling isn’t right but my Dr said they would put it in the water if it didn’t cause birth defects in pregnant women. I was 106 over 78 last time in and I don’t have the water pill portion of it. Just 20mg. I didn’t want the water pill portion because of the hot conditions I work on. I sometimes go through 2 gallons of water a day plus other fluids. So I didn’t want to get dehydrated and heat exhaustion. You might not need the water pill but some people here might want it to look more vascular slash less bloated. No sides that I notice either

Thanks for your reply. I'm not really wanting to be on medicine this soon, but I also don't want to stroke out this soon either, lol. I didn't figure they would deny me medicine, just didn't want them to be like, what aren't you telling us. lol Did you have to try a few different ones, or did the first one they prescribed work for you?

The first one worked fine. BP meds are super common in use among the population. Really most people need it at some point as they age. Mine slowly climbed over the years. I used to be able to exercise it away. My Dr kept baggering me with my BP in the 130’s over 90 which used to be in the normal range before they changed it to 120 from 139. Really, a lot of long term, health diseases slowly develop overtime from high blood pressure like heart disease. I know you have been on here a while and can’t be super young. The longer you BP remains in range the greater the chance you will have better health outcomes relative to those who don’t. I would do what your Dr advises and that would probably be to get on it.

Couple years shy of 40. I don’t mind getting on medicine as I’m sure it’s needed. I was more concerned about my current cruise dose flagging my blood work and causing some questions to be asked. I didn’t know they changed the range, I just assumed it’s always been 120/80 as the target.

Look into carditone

You will be fine. If your PSA levels are above 4ng/ml is not due to steroids but an indication of potential prostate cancer. AAS won't affect that value.

Thanks Mak. I read some case studies where TRT doses had the potential to increase PSA values, but I take that with a grain of salt. As for the other tests, I imagine they are just standard and not much to be concerned with?

I've actually had PSA tested at the tail end of cycle and my levels weren't changed from baseline so I wouldn't expect much of a change while on a TRT dose. I get it tested annually now. The other tests are just your basic tests. Orals would most likely tend to influence some of those and of course tren would likely mess most of them up Lol but with low dose test you will be fine.

That's kinda what I thinking. Haven't been on Tren since mid July. So hopefully most things are back to somewhat normal values. Thanks for the replies. How have you been? Still stepping on stage these days?

Doing great now, but almost literally died awhile back from covid. Kept me out of gym for long time also. My last prep I got pretty sick 3 months into it so had to scrap that one, which was a real bummer. Biggest I would have stepped on stage too. Got one on the horizon for late spring but still on the fence about it.

Damn! Glad you pulled through you tough old bastard ;) That's awesome you're still competing though. Inspiration.

Go donate blood. That can help a little. Not a solution though
