Looks a bit over my head. Most difficult read I ever got through was Philosophy of Mathematics by Bertrand Russell. Hard for me to wrap my head around. Reading LotR right now. For the first time, believe it or not.
I'd prefer to be called skeptical over closed-minded
I might try it. She's been asking. It might give me a different outlook on death as well. Even if I don't believe in spirits and ghosts, I'd still like to watch one of these people do what they do up close. Might be cool.
I'm probably the most adamant atheist anyone would ever have the displeasure of meeting. If I were to be convinced that spirits or ghosts or an afterlife or legitimate mediums exist, that would turn my life upside down in every way imaginable and beyond all comprehension and recognition. It would be devastating to me. I wouldn't cower in denial, though. I'd just hope they keep hell nice and hot for me. Heaven? Let's see. No gear? No sodomy? Yeah. No thanks.
Well said, the crystallization of our ego prevents us from venturing out of what we think we know
And Well said! Haha
What I know is what can be proven repeatedly through scientific method.
Reading a book right now called the field by Lynn Mcdaggert on the zero point field. Pretty Fascinating stuff that ties into Taoism and Sanskrit.

I'll be waiting for the PM that says "you were right"
Okay, but don't get offended if you happen to get a PM that says "it was bullshit"
I won't be, if that were to happen then it's a case of total denial

Nice. I should have thought about the neurobiological angle of consciousness.
When I think of consciousness, autonomy and self-awareness and thought come to mind. I'm not sure science can even fully answer this question.
Good grammar and correct spelling.
Just sayin.
