Cars (Realistic)

ad

So I have been looking at cars, and I can't decide if I like the 2015 Mercedes CLA 45 AMG, or the Hemi Challanger. Both are awesome cars in their own way, and I really can't decide til I test drive. My question is if you guys could get a new ride that was realistic (I'd get a Ferrari if I could), what would you choose?

I'm stuck between

And

If your looking at the challenger....get the fking hellcat!!!

For me it would be a BMW M6, if the Mclaren P1 isn't an option!

Definitely a good choice, I'm a fan of the m series

C7 zo6. One of the nicest cars available right now for the price

I used to work for in the service center for dodge so my opinion is very biased. I rarely saw a challenger roll in, which is always a plus. The car is hot there is no denying that and I love the old style body with a modern twist. Go with American muscle!

awagz's picture

Hard to beat that old school muscle...nothing sounds better then a hemi screaming down the block either.

If you want speed and luxury get a 2016 CTS-V it will beat most anything including the Mustang.

This is a good choice, also on my list

640hp Caddy is up on my list also, I have many other cars though.

I'm more of a truck person. I'd be happy with an svt raptor or a lifted tundra.

You like the new skylines? Even though they are watered down for america, I think they look pretty sharp

Looks to me like they where looking at the ugly ass Camaro when they resigned it. Look at it from the side.

show me a stock 5.0 is faster than the 04 cobra ... then we will talk..... I ve got a stang that has all that cept the turbo .. plus nitrous ...

jansen's picture

Not sure what the said cobra runs but a local guy here has a new 5.0 with bolt ons and suspension running high 10.90s i didn't believe it till i bet against him and lost my money. Im a chevy guy but the new 5.0s have impressed the hell out of me. And i thought i was the only meat/gear head in here lol. Glad to know im not alone lol.

kodiakGRRL's picture

we are working out bugs on a 5.0 that we tore down to the block ..... I wanted to put a turbo kit in it but I didn't want to lay down the cash for it ... settled for nitrous instead

jansen's picture

Dam andro you speaking my language! I been street racing for years and started a fuel and nitrous business this year that has grown incredibly fast! You ever grudge race?

If you are willing to spring for the AMG CLA, why not an S class? S550 is a sexy bitch! 4.7L V8, 450 ponies, 7 speed automatic with optional slap stick. Wont have the jump that the CLA has but will coast with the best of em,...effortlessly. But if I had to choose between these two, I go with the Benz. Even though GM stepped up its game big time in the last few years. I personally have a phobia of cars and prefer to be above the traffic so bigger SUV's are my cup of tea. Go for the new Range Rover bro! You'll love it

awagz's picture

Cuz I could but 2 CLAS for the price of a s550 lol. The CLA is only 50k, the s550 around 100, bit steep for me. I love those range rovers, but I already have a truck, a 2012 pathfinder black on black top of the line w all the bells and whistles. Not quite a rover, but it's still pretty nice (it was the last year before pathfinder decided to become mini vans lol).

I hear u on being above traffic I drive a tractor trailer so I rule the road at work. I just want something sporty for the highways and long ride home. I have a hybrid as well for all the economy friendly Bros out there haha

I'd keep it for as long as the warranty, that's all. Same w all my cars I keep them til the service contract is up.

Buying a car has nothing to do with the bottom line. It's always the monthly payment that you can tweak and adjust to your satisfaction. I didn't realize the CLA was that much cheaper. I thought you were in the ball park with the AMG package. What is that exactly by the way? AMG i mean?

awagz's picture

true I could make a 8 year loan work, but it's the ammount outstanding on my credit report that would be the issue not the payment, and ONLY because I plan on buying a bigger house in the spring next year and the load size affects the ammount I could borrow (100k vs 50k would bring my borrowing ammount down slightly).
I didn't realize how "cheap" the CLA was either, I didn't even think I could afford it til I used the magic of Google lol my father in law said he thought they were around 80, so I checked and it opened my eyes that I could actually get one. As far as the AMG package, it's upgraded front and rear bumpers, side skirts, different head and tail lamps, larger wheels etc, just a high end cosmetic package, but well worth it IMO
