Taranis, it was not so much a question but a statement. The US has a long history of helping people and immigrants. In moderation, I am fine with allowing refugees from central america into our country. Those people may be a little financial burden to our country at first, but may become valuable contributing citizens over time.
I think I would embrace having new neighbors from guatemala, honduras, and el salvador. I would not be so fast to reach out to Muslims from the middle east or eastern europe.
I don't feel that way about the current flood of muslim immigrants. Too many of them come from areas where rape, and child rape are just acceptable parts of their culture. Too many of them are potentially extremists, and feel that death is the appropriate retaliation for insulting their religion.
From what I understand we have 1.3 Billion muslims, and many are not from areas that have a rape and extremist culture, but those groups are not currently creating refugees.
It's a shame about uk gun laws, I'd love to be able to legally carry a gun. Knowing that I'd actually have a fighting chance rather than just getting shot the fuck up.
