+ 1 pre-contest advice needed!!!
I'm doing my first physique show in a little less than 17 weeks and would greatly appreciate any advice!!
A little background:
Two years ago I competed in bikini, and that was a disaster. First of all, i do NOT have a "bikini" body - I naturally have a much larger frame and more muscle than most girls. Also, I didn't even start thinking about competing until 12-15 weeks out and I needed a LOT more time than that, so i resorted to the crazy restricted calories and obscene amounts of cardio... what do you know I piled it all back on and more within 6 months of the show.
I decided on competing again, this time in women's physique, and have taken it super slow; also stepped into the eroid world ;). I did my first cycle of 10mg var for 7 weeks, no strict dieting & hardly any cardio. My next, and current/ending cycle was 100mg primo/week and 20mg var ED for 11-12 weeks... my diet is somewhat "clean" (oatmeal, ground chicken, veggies, rice, protein shakes, occasional berries/pomegranate, etc) but by no means a super strict diet. Also threw in some random cardio but nothing meaningful; just lifting heavy. I loooved the results from this cycle, both appearance and strength. The last picture i posted shows the results from before my first cycle to now (http://www.eroids.com/sites/default/files/gearpic/44862/image_5.jpg). My strength from both cycles went up like crazy, I'm now benching 155 for 8-10, deadlifting 245 for 8, squatting 275 for 8; before those numbers were around 75, 175 and 175. My last day of var was last night, and my last injection of primo will be thursday.
Currently, I'm 170-172lb, 5'5-6"ish, probably between 15-20%BF (my guess would be on the high end of that, 18-19?)
As for diet: next week, at 16 weeks out I'll probably start dieting, with one "cheat" meal/week until 12 weeks out. I'm going to follow a pretty basic, 6 meal/day cutting diet, but if anyone has any good diet advice, I'd hear that out too!
For the cycle: I'm going to take off 6 weeks, I knoww i should wait longer than that but if we're being completely honest, I probably won't be able to... Originally I was planning on doing another run of the same cycle for the show (var & primo), but maybe even lowering the dose of primo a little - I had a few sides, nothing crazy or unbearable, but I thought lowering it a little might help. Was also planning on going acetate instead of enanthate.
OR, I was contemplating winny instead of var, mostly for the harder look - however I know the sides could be worse, and I've read about joint problems, in which my joints already suck.
Any thoughts, or different suggestions for pre-contest cycle??
Lastly, just wanted to hear some opinions regarding clen/ECA, and even nolva for pre-contest? I'm really, REALLY hesitant about clen & ECA, but I just want to hear a few opinions, although assuming they'll all be negative lol. I'm hoping the diet/cardio will take care of everything, but my biggest fear is not cutting up enough, and my second biggest fear would be using clen or ECA and then piling it all back on again. And I also read a few things floating around about using nolva pre-contest to dry out more? Would like to hear a little more on that as well.
Sorry for the super long post, I tried to organize it as best as I could! Any good advice would be fantastic

KB007 Can you update on how things are going? I'm looking at competing this year and I would like to see how things are going for you... @HrdbdyGRRRL no fears you know I will be hitting you up soon for advise!
Well the diet was going well for a week and a half and then Christmas came lol... Got off track for a few weeks with the holidays & stuff but I wasn't too worried about it because I started early anyways. I am 12 weeks out this Saturday so that's when I'll be 110% in prep. I just started my new cycle, decided to throw in low dose test prop with primo and var but only running it for 6 weeks, once I drop it I'm going to raise the var and primo a little bit. Since I got off track and was also off cycle I don't have much to update on :( but hopefully soon I can post some good progress!! I didn't diet with my last two cycles so I'm really excited to see what will happen this cycle! I'll keep ya updated once the results kick in
what exactly is your diet plan?
the six weeks off while short is probably ok
I would use short esters
don't bother with winny if you already have joint problems
use nolva to dry out pre contest .. I can post a protocol for it .. in fact I did one already somewhere but I ll throw the water amounts in there too
stay away from the clen eca stack you can do this with diet
you look like you are on the right track with your pics and your strength is above average as well ..
precontest cycle.. what you have is fine if it works well for you .. no sense experimenting with other compunds at this point before the show .. save it ..
Thanks for the advice! I definitely was planning on staying away from clen and ECA just always scared of not leaning out enough. & the nolva protocol would be great, thanks!!
i don't have the diet entirely worked out yet... i was planning on getting the details figured out this week, but something like this:
meal 1: 1c oats, 1c egg whites, 1T natural nut butter
meal 2: 4oz chicken/turkey/tilapia, 1c rice, veggies
meal 3: 1c egg whites, 200g sweet potato, 1/4 avocado
meal 4: 4oz chicken/turkey/fish, 1/2c rice, veggies
meal 5: (post-workout) whey protein, 1/2c oats, 1T natural nut butter
meal 6: 1c egg whites, 200g sweet potato, veggies
I want to try starting with a higher carb, mod protein/fat, then tweaking every couple weeks to slowly lower carbs, higher protein, until a few days before, upping the carbs again to fill out.
What are your thoughts/suggestions? Diet is definitely not my strong point as I have little experience with competing!
Don't Forget Green Tea and some grapefruit either for Breakfast or P.W.O. Also Dijon mustard is your friend
For right now you need to add some yolks to those egg whites because your body can't/wont process the protein in the whites without the yolk. this diet is fine for now but as you said will def need to be tweaked coming into the contest .. at which time you'll want to change the carbs into high fiber carbs ie.. brocoli, cauliflower ... ugh.. I m so glad I don't do this to myself anymore ..lol the thought of plain chicken breast and veges almost makes me sick .. I m going to ask viking/vitamin to give you some more specific pre contest diet advice as well..
thanks! i'm not particularly looking forward to it either... i eat pretty healthy for the most part but i like being able to add some sort of flavor to my meals and eat healthy foods that aren't necessarily prep-approved... andddd occasionally feed my obsession with froyo ;p... haha but anyways, with the eggs, should i keep the yolks throughout the entire prep, or just for now?
you'll want to switch out the protien source at some point ..
quick question... what do you think about me adding a low dose of test prop to my prep cycle? i still want to try and put on some size for the show. i was thinking 10-15mg test prop e3d and going with the primo acetate 25mg e3d (which is lower than what i was doing before w/ primo e, but i wanted to start lower if adding the test), along with the 20mg var ED.
not unless it is a bulking cycle .. I m not sure how many weeks out you are but precontest isn't about adding size.. so if you have enough time add it .
