Anavar and depro vera weight gain

ad

Hi everyone. I am new here. I started a cycle on anavar about 6 weeks ago. During two of those weeks I also decided to add clenbuterol for a two week cycle.

I am a track athlete ( was professional many moons ago) now just run socially and do endurance running and marathons as well as strength training. I have always been athletically built. I noticed with the depro vera shot( which i had never had before) I have gained weight especially in my stomach. I feel stronger on the anavar and have toned up but my stomach has never been this big. Its not huge but to me its not what i am used to since I had the shot. I train high intensity 6 x a week. My body is constantly sore and legs feel heavy. My running ability has decreased in that I can usually easily run 21km at 4.15/km now I am dead at 6km and cant run faster than 5.10/km. I am 167m tall and weigh 54kg and I am 42 years old. I am now wanting to up the dose of anavar to 20mg. My depro vera shot will be out my system at the end of April and I wont be having another one as I have gained too much weight. Can anyone advise me if anavar actually works when on depro vera and will I get better results once the shot is out my system?

I personally would not recommend it, while we dont know exactly why depo provera causes weight gain we do know that unlike other forms of hormonal birth control depo provera causes a change in metabolism suspected through its glucocorticoid fxn and the weight gained is adipose tissue not fluid. Also depo provera is a long acting injectable that breaks down slowly, the anavar would only be competing against this until its completely out of your system. If it were simply water retention id just recommend a low dose diuretic. My advice is to go to an IUD because it will not interfere with your hormones esp if you are on AAS. typically pts that i see with these issues are middle aged, have had children, and are prone to gaining abdominal weight and when going back through their diet we find they have been hungrier and consuming more calories. Rarely, I can convince them to fight it and cut calories lol, most of the time they switch contraceptives.

Depo vera screwed my wife's hormones up years ago. I dont know if anavar would have any problems working with it or not. I'm thinking your going to have to really pick a direction that you want. Do you want your times to return( endurance)? Do you want muscles and a good physique(speed)? Do you want birth control? Kinda hard to have all of this at once when your 42 years old.

I used to be a big runner! Well atleast in my own mind. I won a couple of local 5k races and ran a 5k at 19:42 at the age of 40.
