Glad to finally become a member instead of a lurker
I've been looking over most of the forums now for about 2 months, looking for some additional supplements to my current regimen. I have a past history of substance abuse with opioids, and because I did it for so many years I ended up in a Suboxone program where I now take 16mg of buprenorphine/naloxone every day to block the effects of other opioids and finally once and for all get clean. Because of the Suboxone though, the medication has lowered my T levels to a staggering 141 which is absolutely nuts. It's hard to believe that drugs can really do that much damage to your pituitary gland, but I managed to do it and now I'm suffering the consequences.
I blame no one for my addiction to painkillers, as it was all my doing and I have to own up to it. Recently as a Suboxone patient I've been trying to find a doctor who will treat my low testosterone and ended up having to go to a special endocrinologist. After two visits he finally told me that he thinks the Suboxone is causing my low T levels even though I was only at 314 when they did the bloods before I even started treatment. I do think the Suboxone has added to the effect of my low T count, but not to the extent he does. The doctor prescribed me 100mg of T. cyp. every other week - and as we all know in this world 100mg of T. cyp. biweekly just is not enough to get my levels back to where they should be. My doctor is Syrian, and he's told me that in his country that prescribing testosterone was very, very rarely prescribed and 99% of the time the only people who could get it would be if you have lots and lots of cash the pay for the tests, the doc, and the medication.
Long story short is that I'm pretty certain he's only going to give me 50mg of T. cyp. per week and that's not going to be enough to correct my massive hormonal imbalance. I've been injecting 100mg of pharma-grade T. cyp. now for 3 weeks and I have a doctor's appointment coming up where I'm going to just stop for two or more weeks before my next follow-up so that hopefully he will up my dosage from 50mg a week (or 100mg biweekly) to 100mg every week or 200mg biweekly - but I'll always be pinning at least once every 7 days. I've never been near a needle during my many years of painkillers but I have gotten involved with a lot of pharms like Oxy, Fent, and methadone. Some people might think that if I inject more than prescribed I'll be falling off of the bandwagon but I would have to disagree since 50mg of T per week is just only testing my pituitary gland and that it's not enough to raise my T levels to an acceptable level. I'm in the process of ordering my first gear from one of the sources that we are all familiar with and I will be switching every week between my pharma-grade T and the UG stuff so that the doctor can still check my labs and such to make sure I'm not aromatizing to estrogen as much as possible and keeping my other levels in check. Between visits though I'll be only supplementing, not blasting, my T dosage so that my body is more comfortable exercising and losing weight while gaining a little bit of upper body strength and getting healthier.
i've spent months getting my cholesterol down and getting all of my labs in check before I started on T, and even though I'll be using pharma-grade and UG gear at the same time I plan on lying to my doctor about my levels so that he doesn't get suspicious and discontinue my treatment. I'm doing it this way as proper as I can without divulging the fact that I'll be supplementing myself so that I can keep a check on my labs but will be taking matters into my own hands. I know there might be some people who disagree with my methodology and I completely understand, but I want to contribute to the forum and let people know how I'm doing so that if they're in a similar situation that they too can follow my lead and have access to an endocrinologist and labs so that I don't end up over-doing it. I'm not going to be blasting so that I can gain massive amounts of muscle...it's so that I can convert some of this fat into muscle and just look average and not completely fat. I know other people might think I need to lose the weight before I start with the T,, but my energy levels are non-existent and I'm only taking it so that I have the energy to exercise 5-6 days a week doing pure cardio and dropping a lot of extra weight. Once I make it to a better weight I'll start working on upper-body strength and developing muscle that will make me look normal and not all big and bulky just to impress the ladies.
Anyway sorry for the TL;DR story but I wanted to put it out there for people like myself who want to help get their numbers in check and start shedding some weight and look like a normal person like I used to look before Suboxone took over my life. I'm grateful for being completely clean, but also looking forward to having normal T levels so I can get back out there, put in the hard work, and watch what happens to my physique as I travel along this journey. If you've read this far, I appreciate it as well as any kind words you have to say about the situation.
Looking forward to getting to know you all, and wish you all the best with your cycles and HRT trials and tribulations. I plan on being arounf for quite a while and becoming a valid member of the community. Cheers everyone, and I look forward to being able to talk about it all once I become acquainted with everyone. Peace out gentlemen. <3

I am also on a Suboxone maintenance plan. I currently take one 8mg/2mg film Ed (split 2x's/each day) which is down from two films a day. I have been on Suboxone for about 2 years now. I didn't know Suboxone lowered T levels but had a suspicion. I'm sure it added to my low T levels (207) which I believe was destroyed from years of heroin and other opiate abuse!! I must say that I rather be on Suboxone with low T (and being on TRT) then being a full-blown heroin addict again living a MISERABLE life and having nothing to live for. I now have a great job, nice home, great girlfriend and a new beautiful daughter. I work out a lot now and I look great. I do blasts roughly twice a year, sometimes 3x's/year.
Anyway... Sorry for rambling. My cruise of TRT is 100mg CYP/ once a week and I feel great. My T levels are at 980. But as I stated on your other forum topic, you do need to find a new dr.
I'm working down off of the Suboxone...I know that it can be a BIG problem in why my bloods are so low, but I think it's a safe bet that 50mg of T. cyp. per week isn't going to be enough to reach an acceptable level of testosterone. I live in the USA and have a Syrian doctor who is Muslim and very rarely prescribes testosterone to anybody (he's one of the doctors that thinks that Clomid therapy should be the only option for most people because he "doesn't want the DEA looking over his shoulder) - which is applicable in my situation since I get Suboxone from a different doctor. I'm not gonna be blasting T any time soon if ever, but I do want to make sure that I can reach at least 500-600 ng/dl of total T so that it will help me cut some fat while getting some upper body gains. I'll be doing bloods once a month for the next 6-12 months (per my request) so that I can monitor all of my levels and see how I aromatize and if I get to a point where I need an AI because I also want to start on HCG in the near future to help make sure my garbage doesn't shrink.
It all started when I figured out it had been 2 months since I even had a boner, and I'm starting to talk to a girl who I would have NEVER thought had a thing for me. We're about to start dating, and when the time comes I wanna be able to just snap my fingers and have enough wood to start a forest fire. I'm quite sure that the doctor has no intentions of upping my dosage because he mentioned that since I'm on Suboxone he doesn't want to give me any more than I need and I know of two other friends of mine who receive testosterone from him and they both have never been given more than 50mg per week of T. cyp. I'm only 31, but I have a 45 year old buddy who goes to him and he showed me the original prescription he was given...only 25mg of testosterone per week! His script was for 50mg biweekly which is just ridiculous and he had to beg and plead for the doctor to up it to at least 50mg once a week (100mg biweekly). He started supplementing with UG test and his numbers went from 366 to 582 by just bumping his dose up from 50mg per week to 100mg per week, and he's using the doctor for the labs to make sure everything is on par and if he needs any AIs that the doc will prescribe them (he does take a tiny amount of anastrazole).
I appreciate the responses, and this is something that I'm going to take very seriously so that I stay relatively safe and so that I can achieve the results I'm looking for while flying under the radar. I wish that i could just flat out tell him that I'm supplementing my own stuff with what he prescribes, but if I did that then I would be cut off of the Suboxone because I would obviously be told on and that would destroy my chances of ever getting Suboxone prescribed to me again. I plan on being very careful with this though, so that I remain healthy, fly under the radar, and hopefully be able to get an erection before too long since I haven't gotten laid in probably a year and a half. Thanks for the welcome guys.
Are you in Syria too?
If this Dr doesnt meet your requirements there are other Dr's out there,
If you are gonna do Dr controlled TRT you better just stick to his plan.
You add in your own extra testosterone and you might find that he reduces your dose.
He may be one of those Docs that just wants you to get into normal range, rather than the top of normal range.
You should be able to get enough test c to alleviate your low T symptoms, or to the top of the reference range... at least one or the other.
It would suck to have a doc that says you are gtg because you are at 400 ng/dl on bloods
bigmurphI think that you should take that dose until you go to the doctor and get bloods done and see where your at.
Also I've taken suboxon for years straight i had no idea it lowered test levels and I've read the panthlet more than once.
x2 on the bloods. Don't mess up your TRT bro that's a little less than the standard starting dose. Everyone responds different and if you don't give it time to see where you're at with that how are you gonna know what your response is?
Suboxone and other opioids have very complex mechanisms that can end up altering our endogenous hormone production. How long have you been on suboxone? When do you plan on getting off of it? It's silly to me to start prescribing medications for the side effects of other medications. Maybe you should consider getting your suboxone dose down and see what your new baseline test would be? Just a thought.
I can speak from personal experience as I was on suboxone on and off for two years back when it first started being prescribed. It can help a lot of people but it can also be the one thing that takes a lot of addicts right back out into the streets with the same behaviors messing with the same dumb ass people that contribute to their downfall.
bigmurphIt is amazing how some like me and you can take suboxon then stop but others get addicted to the suboxon. I believe that it has to do with the prescribing doctor.
I agree though get off the subs as fast as possible.
What's even more amazing is that my last name is strikingly similar to your username, but I'm betting you use a slightly different spelling than mine...haha!
I placed an order with a verified source here for some Oxydine T. cyp. amps and a sachet of Gen-Shi T. cyp that I will try out to see how things go extracting the gear from a sachet. Whoever thought of that idea was a genius, and I have a spare sterile empty vial that I plan on transferring the oil to when it arrives so that I can store it with the rest of my amps in a drug safe (and I strongly recommend drug safes to everyone if you have any substances laying around that you wouldn't want someone walking off with. I've heard mostly decent stories about Oxydine, and the same with Gen-Shi but did read a few things here and there about some of it being underdosed or mislabeled (looking at AnabolicLab and other places) but I'm reserving judgement until I see bloods on the medications. Right now in my possession I have a 10ml amp of Sun Pharma 100mg/ml that was legitimately acquired and 5ml of a 10ml vial of brand name Pfizer Depo-Test 200 mg/ml that I received for free by freak accident from the same pharmacy, and even after calling them to let them know that I received an extra vial in my pickup they did a stock count and said there was nothing missing and that it "must be a bottle of sterile water or something." I'm waiting to hear back when they figure out that they gave half a vial of Depo-Test away for free, but since they are legally not allowed to accept any medications back from the consumer if they do an inventory and figure out the mistake somebody is DEFINITELY getting fired for that one. I'm not going to blast any of it though, since it's all being used only to get my T. levels up to where they need to be, but I'm not discounting the idea of running a small cycle for a few weeks once I don't have to get monthly labs and have all of the PCTs I need to do a little bit of chiseling.
One thing I see a lot of online and even at my gym is people just going apeshit and blasting into insane numbers like they plan on being on the cover of a magazine but I've promised myself and my parents that I will never do that. They're aware that I'm on T as well as what all I'm doing and they are okay with it, but reinforced that if I blow it with the doctor that I might end up being up the creek without a paddle and could end up back at square one. After being an addict for so long I keep a system in place where I have to be held accountable for my actions, and it helps keep me on the right path so that I don't end up in the same place I was 5-10 years ago.
