Just curious how many of you that use AAS and either tell your significant others or not.
I personally have not shared with my wife. Maybe I should, but I have a couple reasons I do not.
My first would be to protect her. What she does not know.....
Secondarily, not sure she would be supportive in this case.
Yeah, I am sure some would say I am being dishonest, or unfair.
Thoughts??

sorry to anyone i offended in here, i am no bigot and i do understand the concept of religion, i should of thought before i typed, so apoligies all round to any body i offended.
We're good bro. But, I really think you should rethink things an at least get yourself some fire insurance! (jk)
Its all good bro lol I'm just a little more diplomatic and have an explanation with some facts that's all. I'm the farthest from religious my wife has faith but I don't, I also don't say she's an idiot and her religion is a joke either. But, if she tries to preach which she doesn't do , its game on and we're going to debate lol.
but what if??

StevebYou did not saying anything out of line, it was your opinion and are entitled to it. +1
Had "the talk" very early on with my now GF of 2+ years. She said as long as it doesn't effect behavior adversely. Now her attitude is why don't you stay on all the time... Due to the pornstar quality sex while on. She knows the difference
Before I even popped my aas cherry I went to the wife about it and told her what was on my mind. It was a bit rough at 1st but things calmed down and I showed her all my notes, pros and cons. If I have to sneak around then I probably shouldn't be doing it anyway.
Luckily I'm married to someone who TRUSTS my decisions and judgment and allows me to make my decision based on that. Without trust and honesty bro things go south real fast they always do. Thing is this...how long to you think you can go without getting caught? It always comes out in the light eventually
This would be fit for the Jeremy Kyle show... Maybe we should all audition?
I'm sure that for some of you folks sharing AAS use with your significant other is easier than others.
Goth and Girl, you two probably met in the gym and are now in sales.... probably not an awkward conversation at all. About the same as me telling my wife I smoke weed..... uh, yea, we've been smoking it since the day we met.
My wife has no interest in my fitness goals, reminds me regularly that she does not find that bodybuilder look attractive, and wishes that we could both grow old and fat together.
I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to come clean, and I do plan to, but I don't think coming straight out with it is gonna work well. I think I'll admit to self administered TRT with testim gel and slowly ease into my injectable TRT, and lastly admit to doing actual cycles.
My wife is a little bit crazy due to menopause and it does not take much to set her off. My marriage is fragile as a result. If getting a divorce was easy I would probably have left during the first year of menopause, but I did not, and manage to work things out after every big blowout.
These "do you tell your wife " threads are a good thing to have pop up from time to time. I need to come clean at some point, but I'm sure not looking forward to the head games that will come with it.
My wife found out when she grabbed my phone thinking it was hers, (at least thats what she says) and got on the internet and bam eroids pops up. I'm relieved now but it was a stressful conversation. Now she pins a couple hard to reach spots for me and is open about the conversation.
we met at starbucks.. we argued over the last cake pop. ... it got ugly lol
Imagine how much more you'd love your gal if you trusted her and she found a way to understand. nothing feels better than trusting your mate and having them trust you in return. Hiding and creeping away to pin ? That shits for the birds man.
Everyones got shit they're not open about, doesn't make you dishonest. I don't think she can be held responsible as an accomplice just by knowing you are an AAS enthusiast. I told my girl mainly because I didn't want to endure that uncomfortable moment of her waiving a pin in my face saying what is this. She was a little leery but just said, be smart, be safe. It turned out pretty cool.
I wrote this same thread over a year ago , asking about a girl I was dating for several months.
We are still going strong, but I am not in a rush to tell her...at least not yet
Complete honesty in any aspect of life is bullshit. There are things I never told my wife and vice versa. Do I really need to know how many guys she slept with before me?
Just because you become a couple doesnt mean you should lose your individuality and have no boundaries.
This is just a little bit different than disclosing what you have done in the PAST ... you certainly have a strange sense of boundaries if you think that your use has no effects on the people you live with and do tell, how do you lose your sense of individuality by being forthright and honest ?? smh
"I only take peps/gh/even the clen and t3 are injectable with fantastic results. So I don't need gear hunny;)"
I told my wife and she was upset at first, lasted a few hours. I did it a bit different
You guys have no idea what your wife is capable of until you go through a divorce. then you ask yourself "who the fuck is this person, and why is she doing this to me?"
Some shit is better left alone.
I definitely still love my wife and I have watched enough of my friends go through divorces to get another perspective. My wife and I love our two boys passionately. But, the Honeymoon is over and after 11 years I think she loves my money as much as she loves my personality and the sex. I did tell her with details omitted (as I said below) but quite frankly as 7gothic pointed out, I could live to regret that decision very much if things go south and if I had it to do it all over again - COMPLETE CONCEALMENT would be my choice today.
you know people... 7 was being a complete smart ass with that comment ... once you introduce dishonesty into the relationship you may as well take an rpg to the foundation of the relationship and blow it up.... and then of course when there is no trust people will attack one another.... if the relationship isn't stable to begin with and you are caught hiding things then you get what you put into the relationship and shouldn't be surprised with the end result. It is kind of like your training ... if you don't have clue then it shows inside and outside of the gym ....
Now I m going to go smack Goth around and send him back to the basement for his irresponsible comment
If I can't be 100% honest with my wife, I shouldn't be married to her.
There is a difference for me here in the UK though. Steroids aren't illegal.
that doesn't change the issue of honesty ...legal or not
I second that. If I know if I have to hide it from my wife I probably shouldn't be doing it.
Wise man.... Happy squaw happy tee-pee. I'm not a fan of arguing like children or going back and forth, I'm up front with my wife always and vice versa.
You know ma'am, you sound like the ideal partner every man would covet in a relationship. If I had not been subpoenaed to testify in some of my fraternity brothers' divorces, I would never believe that such a once loving couple could end up just filled with hate for each other. I was very careful in choosing the word "hate" because that's what it was, pure and simple and deep and violent.
I would not want to set my wife up with the upper hand in such a way as to practically hand her custody of our kids with no recourse available to me because of her knowledge of my use of illegal drugs. I can live with the idea that she knows nothing about it and don't feel like I'm depriving her of a piece of critical information. After all, bodybuilding is my hobby, not my career.
you don't have any idea what was behing the "loving couple" facade.. appearances aren't everything and you don't know what goes on behind closed doors. But I will tell you that if you are preparing for the inevitiable you will find your way there sooner or later. Trust is the basis for respect and love follows, with out trust there is a lack however small of respect and that will eat away at anything you call "love."
Can you live with the repercussions that she finds out the wrong way ... things have a way of coming to light when one least expects it.. just my .2cents I m not gonna brow beat you for your choice but I do know that it makes your relationship less than it could be..
Fair enough ma'am.
I'm actually not trying to argue with you - really I would value having a better grip on my wife's side of life.
In my case she already knows but the bare minimum.
We still sleep in the same bed after a decade of marriage and family and our intimacy is truly loving and not fake.
If she did roids and didn't tell me - I would be "miffed" for sure but I wouldn't escalate it to a crisis in our relationship. But I'm only speaking for myself.
I'll let something hang out here that you are gonna beat me over the head with. I'm an only child and there are things I only share with my mom (my dad passed away). I know that is not what the Lord intended because Mathew 19:5 states clearly that "a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
So God intended that my wife comes before ANYTHING (except God Himself).
I need to think about some things here for sure. This was a nice forum topic.
yeah, that would be because the bible is bull shit fake and god is not real.........awkward.
StevebI see a lot of people say the bible is full of shit and they have never read it, or even comprehend it.
cool read it many times when young, also have friends who where wards of the state and raped and sexually abused by preists.
StevebThat's what happens when you prevent a grown man from having sex. I would become fucking insane if I did that. The bible did not do that to your friends, people did. I actually find many religious people to be fake and I dislike many of them.
Shit I am not religious but I can not say that there is nothing out there in the universe superior to us.
I'm pretty sure they knew the deal when they signed up. They were not men of faith but men looking for easy access to prey.
Sounds like you are agnostic as am I..
That wasn't fair flash. I don't believe in religion and all that but I don't do it like you just did. C'mon flash lol that wasn't cool. Debating is fine but that was not,
what wasn't fair? i wasn't having a personal attack at gearhead, thats my opinion, he said his and i said mine, he agrees with religion i don't, i had to read his and he read mine?/?
whats the issue?
i don't think there is a problem here???
didn't intend it too cause one?? nothing too see here.............
I just try not to be too brash to bash others religions or beliefs unless they falter and don't follow it basically picking and choosing what parts to follow and what parts not to that's all bro. You could've been a little more diplomatic and had some reasons lmfao that's all I'm saying. I could care less what someone believes in and follows just pick your side of the road and stay on it. No worries brother I know how you Aussie guys are , no filter what so ever lol.
You really should consider a bit of diplomacy.
It may be fake where you're from bro, but it sure ain't fake where I'm from. I live in the "bible belt" of the United States. Everyone belongs to a church they like. Most of us not only go to church on Sunday but to prayer meetings on Wednesday night and also to bible study before Sunday worship service as well. I have this feeling you would not like it here in this part of the country. But, you might like New York. Few people believe in God in New York. Most of the cops in my town and the sheriff of the county are members of my church. So even law enforcement mixes their work with their Christian beliefs here. They are not supposed to but they do.
Amen brother, I lift in the name of the lord!!! United we lift!!!!
I wasn't going to comment anymore here, especially with the whole religion topic lol. With that being said, we've talked a lot in pm and I've known you on here for awhile now. Further up you were talking about if you got a divorce with your wife justifying hiding your gear use because you wouldn't want her to have the upper hand , I also have heard you say your a Christian which I have no problem with everyone is free to believe in whatever they choose, but last I checked divorce is not an option, right along with sex before marriage , living together while not being married etc etc. The fact you claim to be a Christian but use anabolic substances which are illegal and it states in the "good book" mans laws and gods laws go hand in hand..... When you stated that other people who quote un quote don't have faith because they're not located in the bible belt is ludicrous brother , I know many in the northern states who follow their faith and religion to a T which means they don't watch television because 99% of it is a sin, coveting thy neighbors wife, sex before marriage, etc etc. I by no means are religious , but what I don't like is hypocrite Christians or "fake" religious people. Not trying to bash you or call you out but I'm just saying what it looks like from the outside looking in bro.
Bro I'm not interested in appearances. Believe it or not I'm as far away from a fake as there is. There are so very many people that I have helped out that I have never told anyone about. I made a huge gift to my church anonymously. Big money. I did it cause it was on my heart to do so not so the congregation would think I was a great guy and a generous man. I value what the Lord thinks of me way more than other people. If there are inconsistencies in your mind it certainly doesn't make me happy but that's just the way it is I guess.
I don't know why you have the idea that man's laws and God's go together. I have a few gay friends that I am very close to going back to childhood. You think that our law permitting same sex marriage is scriptural? That's just one example.
A funnier example is that there are still laws on the books in some small towns here in the South that state that sex between a man and wife must be in the missionary position only. That's the law. Man's law. Do you really think that if I violate that law I'm being a Christian hypocrite? I like that example because that's about where I see the law that makes anabolic steroids illegal. I think it's in the same category as the missionary sex only law.
Regarding divorce. Jesus said that it is acceptable to divorce but only under one circumstance if one or both spouses are unfaithful. It is written:
Matt. 5:32, "But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery."
So, the only acceptable reason in the Christian faith for me to divorce my wife is if she is cheating on me. But, that is an acceptable reason.
In addition, as far is New York is concerned. I was born an raised in New York City and on Long Island. I would bet you your life's savings that the percentage of New Yorkers that belong to a church and go there to worship on a regular basis is way smaller than the towns in the areas in which I now live in Florida. I would bet you your life's savings that the percentage of the population in New York that is atheist or agnostic is way higher than the percentage where I live now. Of course there are people of all faiths in New York that are committed to their beliefs and follow them. But there is a reason they call this area the bible belt.
I was just putting it out there. As far as mans laws and gods laws theres about 5 scriptures I can look up to back that up. Now is there a fine line, sure there is. I personally don't believe in religions for many reasons but that doesn't mean ill hate on the next man that follows it 100%. What I don't like is when someone picks and choses what pertains to their life and dismisses the rest. I only brought it up because earlier in your other posts when you were hinting at divorce and having basically an exit plan goes against your faith 100%.
We all know that same sex marriage isn't scriptural , its the exact opposite in the "good book" its a sin. Along with divorce. I don't know what "god" would think about buying a controlled substance illegally and altering ones hormones for physical benefit to get as big and lean as possible , some Christians would argue that's selfishness which than goes hand in hand with gluttony. That's neither here nor there.
The point being to quote the bible after you just got done talking about lying to your spouse and keeping things from her , along with basically having and exit plan if you guys get a divorce so she doesn't have the upper hand , goes against your faith greatly. Let alone to talk about illegal drugs. Just doesn't look good at all. That's being a Christian hypocrite , right along with judging your fellow countrymen in the north saying there isn't many who are Christians and that many don't believe in god. Just doesn't look good gear head. I don't mind that you have faith and I commend you for being that way. To pick and chose when your faith applies has been something that bothers me, I've brought it up before with many people of faith. Where one minute they are full of faith and quoting scriptures, then the next minute they are going against it.
I guess im just confused that's all. I'm good tho no worries. Just religion is a funny thing. I don't think many realize if they were to follow their faith 100% how bland their life would really be. A lot of the things people do on a daily basis go against a lot in the good book. I guess times change and the book changes too. Religion hasn't been a good topic on here because more often than not people cant debate civilly. Thou shalt not judge tho.
Jesus says that if my wife is unfaithful, I can divorce her. Where remotely does having an exit plan constitute a sin of any kind whatsoever. So, the prenuptial agreement my wife signed is a sin? The pastor that married us knew about it - we discussed it in his office. He did not feel that my wife had any claim to money that it took my family generations to accumulate should she divorce me in a civil court. She agreed. The money we earned as husband and wife together - that belongs to her as well. But not the money my great grandfather made 100 years ago. That prenuptial agreement is most certainly and "exit plan" now isn't it.
You do not brace for impact in a marriage , you keep things right and do whatever you can to keep it alive. Theres a reason it says until death do you part. I'm not one to agree to keeping secrets to my spouse because it is then in turn an unhealthy marriage which should be based on trust when in fact it isn't. I don't try to cover my ass with my wife , I don't hide things from her. I stay faithful in more ways than just not cheating on her.
