What would you do.

ad

So I have a friend. 28 years old. He notices one day that his body is making changes, he is a little taller, and his jaw had grown enough that he had developed an underbite. He went to the doctor, and after running a number of tests, they found out that he had a tumor on his brain that was exerting pressure on his pituitary glad causing his body to release large amounts of Growth hormone. That's pretty generalized. And sadly, those are the only details I know. At any rate they tested the tumor and found it to not be malignant. The removal was done by a specialist and was successful without any brain damage.
I've thought about this a little and wondered what I would do in the situation. would I procrastinate the surgery and lift my ass of for a while or would I play it safe and have it removed? As sick and as messed up as this sounds, I think I would have procrastinated and worked my ass off while my body was producing the best HGH mother nature had to offer.
Admittedly, I really don't know the science of all of this or if that was even an option but I like to dream about it.
What would you do if you were in that situation?

Don't know how much relevance this has in this thread, but my boy Jessie, whos an EMT, donates his time at the Sarah Canon Cancer Center.... and I've attended a few funerals about victims of leukemia (TOO YOUNG) ..... get yourself tested.... take the neccesary precautions ,,,, and NEVER procrastinate!!!!!!

Ya the longer it stayes there the bigger it would get and it could be more trouble then you think.

I'm guessing the longer he left it the larger it would become and the more difficult for doctors to remove and recover from. Plus we all saw what happened to Jonas in Stargate!!

NOOOooo, I dont wanna look like Lurch. I'd have it removed and hit the roids that much harder.

Tony Robbins had/has the same thing. (motivational speaker that looks like Lurch)

Ya know what?...I remember reading something similar like this not too long ago. HOWEVER, it dealt with the use of peptides and tumor growths in/around/near the pituatary (damn, sp?) gland. Sounds almost identical to this though. Guy was using Ipamorelin and GHRP or something of the like and got some big tumors exerting pressure on his brain and shit. Made me rethink using some peptides...decided just to save up and buy some legit GH instead!! Smile Anyway...if I didn't feel like shit, I would've kept working out if I was gaining....screw it right?...especially if you knew the tumors were coming out and wasn't life threatening.

That is pretty profound! Due to it being benign and not malignant I might have the same thought as you, but it looks like alot of other things were growing out of whack that might make me rethink it. If you could channel the energy of the HGH by working out, then it might be worth it. If in that situation alot of research would be done to figure out what I would do.

Yeah, In a messed up sort of way, it's kind of fun to think about. He had significant overall growth. A guy I worked with hadn't seen him in a year and noticed his physical growth immediately without knowing of his condition.
