+ 1 At home labs vs actual labs

ad

Lesson learned: I won’t be relying solely on at-home blood tests again. After being on cycle for months, my at-home labs were showing my hematocrit at only 51%, so I thought I was still within a manageable range.

I hadn’t been feeling right, so I finally went in for a proper lab draw. Turns out my HCT is actually sitting at 56.8%.

Definitely an eye-opener. Next time I need to make sure I’m getting accurate lab work done and staying on top of my numbers instead of assuming the at-home results are telling the whole story.

That’s why I just don’t do blood work. Too much drama…

That’s good you caught that, but yea rhythm sucks and it’s not much cheaper than just getting actual labs. I had it but never really trusted that the blood from tiny capillaries under your skin would be as accurate as getting a traditional blood draw.

Damn man that could've gone very sideways for you. Glad you caught it. What's ur short term plan?

What are/were you running?

Was running 500 mg Test E and 200 mg Deca per week. I’ve been off for about 8 weeks.

Short-term plan is to focus on hydration and cardio, then reassess my bloodwork. If blood removal is needed, I want to be cautious because my ferritin is already on the low side.

A buddy of mine is a PA and is helping me work through a plan to get my numbers back into a better range.
