+ 1 Some anxiety going into my first cycle
ad
I have planned and prepared for my first cycle for almost a year now. I have my gear, my pins, and most importantly my AI's and pct regiment. However I have begun to question if my diet in good enough and if my workout plan is good enough. Did any of you have some of the same anxiety going into your fist cycle?
My diet is the paleo dite and my workout routie is Monday chest, tris, shoulder, Tuesday legs, abs. Wednesday back, bis, then repeat and off Sunday. 30 minutes of cardio 4x a week.

AnonI didn't think this was your first cycle....
Anyway.... Anxiety and nerves can flare on first cycle and is normal it will all come to pass
Yea, my first REAL cycle. Over 10 years ago I did an oral only cycle that if I posted here I would get flamed for being stupid, then down voted into oblivion, then banned. Brought back again, only to be flamed again, down voted some more and banned again. That is how bad it was, I plan on sharing what happened to me in a post in the intro page. If I can stop one new guy/girl from making the same mistakes I did then it will be worth it.
hey Win if you're training with maximum intensity and effort you might want to take your off day before your rotation starts again. 3 days on 1 day off then repeat. six days strait training each muscle group twice without a day of rest might not facilitate maximum growth in the long haul, due to lack of full recovery. I personally know after training legs I'm nowhere near being recovered in 3 days. just pay close attention and your body will let you know. Best wishes on your cycle, your preparation and research will pay big dividends.
I'm thinking of changing my routine but I'm hesitant to do it going into cycle.
Stick with your current routine if it is working for you. It is real hard to overtrain if you are getting enough sleep and proper nutrition. The AAS will also significantly boost recovery time. If you start feeling worn out and your strength is decreasing then you are probably starting to overtrain and should back off for a day or two and recover.
Thank you sir
The simple fact you are really thinking through what you are doing is great sign of promise for your success. Best of luck man (1+).
Thanks man, I'm always looking at what I can tweak. Thanks for the plus one brother.
PallMallI can only suggest to you the workout that has worked for me and I love it.
It is a classic 4 day split.
Monday - Chest/Triceps
Tuesday - Legs
Wednesday - Off
Thursday - Back/Biceps
Friday - Shoulders/Traps
Saturday - Off
Sunday - Off
That looks interesting. My routine is Monday chest, shoulders tris. Tuesday legs, abs. Wednesday back, bis Thursday begin to repeat off Sunday
Might look at it as one long meal or 6 meals averaging 600-700 calories a each. Lots of nuts and berries. I throw sausage in here and there for extra calories. I also use SFH protein because it is sugar free and grass fed. I have four eggs in the morning with a protein shake and a cup of coffee with two tablespoons of Kerrygold butter. (Surprisingly good and smooth) for a snack its usually an avocado and about a half a cup of almonds or cashews along with some form of berries. Lunch might be 12 oz of chicken or steak or a large can of tuna with red wine vinegar. Another snack with berries again and maybe an orange or banana. Something with a high glycemic index and a sweet potato before my work out. Dinner is again some type of meat 12 oz or more and maybe a salad. I try to keep carbs to a minimum after my workout.
This is not the way to eat and get big but you can put on some quality mass by eating enough. You have to stay ahead of your metabolism at this point. Lots of sweet potatoes and chicken. Also lamb is a very high calorie meat full of protein!
Love lamb chops
Your diet is going to be hard to make gains on unless you eat shit ton of food. I too eat paleo and I eat just about all day long. The key is meal prep on the weekends. Lots of chicken, beef and pork and healthy fats. You are basically eating a keto diet and will need to eat huge to make any gains. Think more along the lines of lean bulk instead of just mass. Not having all those grains, dairy and starches really takes a toll when trying to mass up.
Thank you for the reply cry
Have you contemplated getting off paleo while on cycle?. How often do you eat, right now I eat 4-5 a day with a lot of veggies. Spinach, avocados, tomatoes, sweet potatoes.
I fat fingered it and did not mean to doc a point. I added it back
Its no big deal brother but thank you. You have been a huge help since i have been here.
AnonI think my first cycle was anxiety mixed with excitement mixed with a little fear. You are venturing into unknown territory with your personal health and safety. You feel prepared but there is always that doubt in the back of your head. Thats perfectly normal. The worst place to dwell in uncertainty is your own mind, so putting it out here might help.
If you have been on this site preparing for almost a year I think you will be ok
You already got started on making sure your diet is good, so now you just gotta put everything into play. Safe injection techniques, solid diet, train like a beast, stay hydrated and get enough sleep. The results will speak for themselves.
Welcome to the darkside, after that first pin theres no turning back brother ;-P
Thanks man.
There's always a slight amount of anxiety with your first run but ideally you should pretty much have the basics like diet and training down a long time before considering AAS.
However, Irongame or Catalyst off the top of my head are the peeps to fine tune your diet and if your serious about nutritional advice and not looking for a co-signer, these guys will help you at the drop of a hat. Training wise, if you are currently seeing good gains and enjoying your current regime, why change it? Personally speaking I don't like chest and shoulders on the same day, the further apart on my split the better. I recently switched from high volume to two muscle groups twice a week HiT to switch things up with less volume chest/back, legs, shoulders/arms, ab x3 p/wk repeat.
Thank you sir, I put my diet in the clinic this morning.
