+ 1 should I bother with anonymous email provider?
ad
When I first signed up for eroids I used one of the anonymous email providers. My free service has ended and I'm considering using my real email service for my eroid account. I'm thinking that if I order gear I will use my real PO Box and name, why should I be concerned about my email? can someone clue me in here?
thanks,
Burrr

At the end of the day. If said authorities want to hijack your emails they will. Not that 99.9% of recreational users would be affected by this, but the truth is. They can.
You can add a little more protection to emails by using SSL (secure socket layer), using this increases security by quite a margin. It basically uses asymmetric cryptography to protect you. You can usually click 'sign with SSL' with most decent email providers.
Another good way is to get a decent proxy app for your computer. A proxy disguises your IP address, or rather mocks another IP address from another computer. The last I heard Hide IP Platinum was the best around but that was a year or so ago. Using that software, your computer takes on a different identity and so you could be 2000 miles around the world whilst still be sitting in your office chair at home.
Apart from that, don't worry too much bro
I wouldn't bother if you're just a small time recreational user. If you're distributing steroids that's when you really should cover your tracks. I've been using gmail for all my steroids needs and it's all good.
Your name and address is on the order anyway, so email don't mean shit to me.
I kinda have the feeling nothing is really anonymous on the internet anymore but who knows. NSA is all up in everything much more than they're making it out to be in the media I'm sure.
yes, as a source I cringe to see guys using yahoo, hotmail, and gmail accounts knowing that they are easily accessed and read by law enforcement ....
Law enforcement can read anything they want. Having a hush mail or other "anonymous" accounts won't keep you safe if they really wanna get you, unless you're using GPG keys for every message.
I use keys for my stuff but the thing is that I can be tracked back to a hotmail gmail yahoo account .. you have to attach me to an account otherwise .... it is pgp keys by the way ... and hushmail is a fucking joke so is safe mail ... lol .. however, if I m wrong I believe gmail won't even let you sign up without giving them a cell phone number
What do you recommend, for example?
Anonsecurenym. when approached by LE, they simply close the account and the contents go bye bye
Are there any free services that are worth a shit?
Your worrying too much. In no way am I insulting you but your small fish in comparison to guys that buy thousands and thousands and thousands of pounds worth of gear and in some certain countries buying is legal. In the UK, buying steroids is legal for personal use.
The money the authorities pay to track your email(s) and employ a capable person to work, keep that person in a suitably adapted environment which bides by health and safety laws, insures that person to work for them is going to be ten times more than a regular guys 12 week cycle.
but thanks for letting me know not to worry.
After seeing hrdbodygrrl's post I was thinking I should do it to help protect my source. Does it matter to the host what email I use? I found a free service yesterday called salusafe, I hope it works for me and any potential source.
I see where your coming from, the only party to be cautious really is the source. Like I said, unless your under surveillance for different crimes and/or your wanted man or fall under a seizure operation then I doubt there is much to worry about.
There's obvious precautions to take. After all, this is a public website. It depends on the law in your country and many other aspects. But in general, personal use is nothing but a misdemeanour in many countries and in some, it's actually legal.
Using SSL. Tick the box under login. Sign in with SSL is usually what it says and you'll see a padlock icon in the address bar. That means your information is being sent encrypted and as long as both copies of communication are deleted, it only leaves a hard copy on the server of the email provider which in theory needs a warrant issued by a court to access such and for most cases, these warrants are declined under the data protection act (well here in the UK it is) and/or the information is deleted before the warrant is issues depending on the political opinion of the email provider.
If only the pirate bay did email addresses, we'd all be safe lol
All in all, these are research chemicals and aren't for human consumption and the properties of the product is neither here or there when you are buying a product that is more or less, an experimental research chemical and not sold as a steroid
