Sarms

ad

Wondering if there worth running. What your bloodwork looked like afterwards especially hdl cholesterol.
Theres a club but none of the posts are new and there really wasnt much info on bloodwork.
I've ran about everything and figured I might give these a try.

Sarms for mass building. Waste of time and money. Save it for AAS.
Sarms for cutting. Go for it. S4 is particularly helpful as long as you don't mind everything looking yellow and don't need to drive at night. That is about the only one I find any use for in my arsenal. GW sounds interesting but I'm not going to take a chance with it.

Ive used sarms on and off cycle with great results both ways ...when on cycle i was trying to lean up for summer a couple years ran them with some test worked pretty good ..then i ran them in between cycles to have a break i actually made some decent gains in strength and size...just my to cents now that i saw your post i would have loved to add some ostarine to my ebc stack didn't really think about it tell i just read your post.

To me if you use AAS, why would you use any other compounds that are many times weaker than hormones. Even if you manage to get real sarms, the effect of them will be miles away comparing to AAS

Sam I Am's picture

I just had gallbladder and hernia surgery.
I dont want any big strength increases for a couple months.
If I did I'd just run my usual gram of test...

SARMS are a grey area at best. More research is needed to really determine the benefits if any vs the sides!

GrowMore's picture

You can’t judge a book by its cover but I always see sellers of SARMS selling legal pills like Trenbol and decadrol which instantly puts me off buying from them. Also from what I’ve read some SARMS cause cancer.

Ozninjaguy's picture

The 'some SARMs cause cancer' is rubbish. It's an urban myth based upon Cardarine (GW - 501516) which is not even a SARM. Researchers fed rats genetically prone to cancer huge doses of GW everyday for almost 2 years - which is 2/3 of their life and surprise, surprise, some developed cancer. Smoke huge amounts of cigarettes everyday, drink huge amounts of alchol everyday, take huge amounts of Aspirin/Paracetamol everyday for 2/3 of your life and see what happens.

Everything in excess is bad for you.

An entertaining yet educational video: https://www.vidly.xyz/watch/HrcesZz0Skw/does-cardarine-cause-cancer-crit...

GrowMore's picture

Good stuff OZ. I’ve done very little reading into them but what I have put me off straight away.

Ozninjaguy's picture

I research everything to the Nth degree and on balance decided they were worth a try considering that there is no established cancer risk with GW in humans - in fact, I have a research paper that confirmed that GW had no effect on human breast and melanoma cancer cells, as well as many other papers regarding human research involving GW - just didn't want to bore people with lots of research papers.

Like everything in life - hopefully we weigh up the possible risks/benefits and make an informed decision, and then live with the consequences, both positive and negative.

Steer clear of cardarine IMO the cancer causing dose is too close to the effective dose. 30 mgs a day. Hit me on pm if you want to discuss more. Just lookin out for you my dude.

Disagree with that video.
Also it’s funded by tony huge who sells cardarine for a living. I think bias is a concern with his content.

Ozninjaguy's picture

Fair enough - here is some research supporting its possible anti-cancer potential. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5614479/

Bearded_muscle's picture

That is interesting, it looks a bit limited in terms of applications for multiple cancer types but could have some benefit for pancreatic cancers.
Not enough research done on it for me to feel comfortable with my loved ones or friends to take it though.
And it was heavily invested in before being dropped by pharmaceutical companies which worries me. But clearly there is some info on both sides of the issue.

Appreciate you sharing OZ

I like to use Ostarine in between cycles, its nothing dramatic but 20-30mg does aid in maintaining gains . Now I've never ran it any higher than 30mg so I don't know what its capable of really, but at a low dose it's not suppressive in my experience .

Really though the reliability of finding real sarms is as you well know unreliable to say the least, but if you find a good source sarms do have there uses. just my two cents

helloBrooklyn's picture

SARMs scare me. I wouldn’t touch them, personally. Less effective than actual steroids while carrying more potential side effects than most (barring some orals and the strongest super androgens out there), particularly their hepatotoxic nature. I just don’t see the point of putting something potentially harmful into the body and getting not that much out of it.

Ozninjaguy's picture

SARMs are not hepatoxic - that is one of their most favourable attributes. Post up some papers to support your assertion please.

helloBrooklyn's picture

I don’t have any. I’m wrong quite often, so by all means, correct me when I’m wrong. I just want to learn

Ozninjaguy's picture

No probs mate. When I ran them my liver profile and blood work were perfect - everything within range. Trust me - I would not be supporting anything here if I thought that it would be bad for someone.

Bearded_muscle's picture

Look into injectable versions run at modern AAS doseages... interesting results to say the least. Need more information about long term sides though.

Ozninjaguy's picture

Agreed - as I posted below: they can be mildly suppressive, so using them for PCT (like some guys do) is not really a good idea - it's not technically a PCT, it's just another cycle of a different agent.

Ozninjaguy's picture

I watched it - it's just one guys personal experience. Many similar videos out there.

Gw for me has proven cholesterol improvement multiple times.

GW501516 (Cardarine) is not technically a SARM - It's a PPAR (Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor beta) agonist. It has been clinically proven to improve Cholesterol amongst other things. It's used mainly as a fat burner and for increased endurance.

The other SARMs - Osterine, Testobolone, Ligandrol, and S4, to name a few have no impact on lipid profile but can mildly affect Cholesterol ratio. A SARM (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator) is essentially an AAS with the exception that it is selective in it's Androgen Receptor (AR) selection. SARMs generally only work on ARs in muscle and bone wheras AAS work on AR in muscle, bone, heart, liver, brain, prostate and so on.

They were developed specifically to replace AAS as AR agonists with the hope that they would have less androgenic side effects than AAS.

Ligandrol (LGD - 4033) and Testolone (RAD - 140) can be mildly suppresive depending on dose and length of cycle with a PCT of a few weeks of Nolva usually enough. They can also affect Cholesterol, but nowhere near the degree that AAS will.

From everything that I have read, and having run a couple of SARMs a few years ago, there are no adverse or long term effects regarding liver profile or other blood work.

They are not Testosterone based AAS so don't expect Test based AAS results from their use. They have the advantage of low/negligible overall toxicity, no cardiovascular negative effects, and no adverse BP effects,

I have read guys on forums who say they are shit - but then you look at their cycle and they are running huge amounts of various AAS and think they can tell if a SARM is working or not...SMFH. Go off cycle, do a proper PCT then run only SARMs and you will see results.

The reason why they are not so popular is that they do not have the same effect in terms of size and quickness of results that Test based AAS do, and since a cycle works out about the same price as Test AAS, most people go for the bigger and faster results from Test AAS for the same price.

Thanks Oz I want to run something with my trt but just had my gallbladder removed and dont want to get to strong to quick and risk a hernia.
I also had a hernia repaired.
I've got Ostraine and Ligandrol. I'll look into the Cardarine.
I really appreciate your time.

Hey bro I was going tell I've been running cardine at 20mg ed along with sr 9009 at 40mg ed with just test enanthate an my endurance is great I had bloods done the other day but still waiting on them to come in I'll let u know what the cholesterol looks like an stuff but I got great stamina. Not too say it's just from the cardine an sr 9009 cause I am running test too but I've had some good fat loss too but I've been on my diet hard too. Its my first time running any sarms too.

Great I'll be looking for your info. Thanks

No probs mate. Ostarine definitely for injury repair. Lingandrol is for strength and bulking, so stacking those two would be fine - adding in Cardarine would be counter-productive IMO. I would limit Cardarine for a cutting cycle with RAD 140 or Ostarine to maintain size.
