i think proper rest is just as important as being in the gym. you have to go with how you feel, now, thats not an excuse to be lazy and just not go or only go 2-3 days a week age is also a factor. i know a pro who used to go 4 on 1 off and as he got older switched it to 2on1off schedule. if you are hitting each body part once a week in a proper split that works for some people. 2 days off is sufficient. you dont want to get to the point of overtraining because that will not do you any good.
you know what.... i told frankie (before he was banned) that working out 3-4 days a week on cycle was half-assed, and then people ran their mouths off at me saying that rest is "necessary". he put up a cycle in which he was running like 3000mgs!!!
It depends on how we feel.. sometimes 1 sometimes 2 ... sometimes none..
Sunday is the only day we take off either bulking or cutting, workouts will be arranged to suit specific needs.
I tried 2days off but my body nd mind wants no days off ....then I jump to 1day Beast Mode!! Rest is very,VERY,very important for ur body to recover ..
Usually 1 day. Sometimes I take 2 days off if everything is really sore. I don't work out a body part if it is sore so sometimes I need a little extra rest now and then.
1 day a week for me
I'm usually taking 2-3 days off a week. Mostly two though.
The only problem with no days off is and I know with a lot of the guys I train with who do pro MMA fights is not muscle fatigue but tendon and ligament damage. Those take such abuse but there is no real good sign that they are over taxed until they snap.
RustyhookerI do 3 on...1off..repeat.. Although you're boosted on cycle you still need rest for recovery
sgtstedankoUsually Only one various day off, brother. It all depends on what I'm doing...
Day's off? What's that? LOL . In the gym or at home I have to lift something every day. If I have a sore body part I might work around it but I usually wont take time off because of it
1 day only unless joint pain then maybe 2
I just go by how I feel, your body will tell u when u need a day off or two or three....
1 Day for me !
