Muscle Sparing advice, only test-e viable?

ad

So im plowing on my cut, changed my diet from paleo back to just clean and 750 under maintenance. I am eating around 2,000 calories a day and factoring in 3/4 lifting sessions a week on top of HIIT and on average 40 minutes LIIS the days I don't do HIIT. I had a surprise and seem to have lost 9 lbs in less than 3 weeks.

Now don't say it...water weight plays a part I know but what im concerned about is losing muscle. Other than BCAA's, High protein and lifting weights is there anything else besides a good old fashioned test-e cycle that will ensure I keep close to 100% of my muscle and just smash fat? I mean if i lose a bit of muscle im not bothered as long as its a good 80% fat but obviously I want to get lean and I want to become strong and jacked, not skinnyfat.

Any ideas?

Losing fat and sparing muscle is primarily predicated on diet. You're running test, which is more than enough to spare muscle during a calorie depleted state. 1 pound of fat is 3500 calories so losing 2 pounds a week requires a 7000 calorie deficit. As a generalization, people usually cannot lose more than 2-3 pounds of fat a week without affecting lean tissue. Anything over 2-3 pounds can be water or muscle. 1 gram of carb attracts 2.7 grams water, so fluctuating carbs can have an impact on scale weight. What I'm getting at is you don't need anything special to spare muscle. There are compounds that promote a hardening of the body, but they aren't a necessity. Test alone is fine. Depending on cycle history, you could add a couple different things to amplify your results.
