Letter in mail

ad

I got a letter in the mail from the postal service that said they have my package from a domestic order I made and they said in it that it could be a part of a federal law. They said to call them if I want to set up an arrangement to get it. Should I be worried about this because I'm not going to call them back. Do you think they will come to my house to talk to me or something worse.

dont be worried. they may come to your house, but without evidence of your specifically ordering it, or knowing it was on the way, they can't do anything. they can only bust the sender. i know this because 10 years ago this chick i knew sent heroin to her boyfriend in prison, the postal inspectors came to my house cause her dumbass put my name as the return address. they didnt even bust her cause they didnt have enough evidence, even though they suspected it was her from prior mail sent to her boyfriend. i

Well you didn't get a letter from Customs Rule that out ! However if the return address does not exist this could have flagged them ?

they said it could be part of a federal law

Please elaborate on what you mean here? What does the letter say Exactly? Also, a few weeks ago you posted about a package. In that post you're asking questions that make it sound as if you already had it seized. "If they seize one pack will they always check the next one to that addy" and things like that. Is this the same pack we're talking about? I'm having trouble understanding what's going on here. For starters it is highly unlikely to have a domestic pack Seized since it never gets to customs. Just doesn't make any sense. The only reason I can see the the pack sitting there is an addy mistake in which case they wouldn't have sent a letter because the addy is wrong in the first place. Be careful how you reply. Edit out sensitive words in your reply.

The letter was from a postal inspector. It just says this leter is to advise you a mail parcel addressed to you is being withheld from delivery there are reasonable grounds to believe it's contents are non-mailable, possibly a violation of Federal law specifacally the Controlled Substance Act. They also said if you want to claim the package call us so we can make arrangements. It says after thirty days we will dispose of the package.

Talk to the source and fill them in.

Beastmode22's picture

Ok I did but do you think they are going to check every package now that gets sent my my house?

Nitti's picture

Yeah you might want to find a new one (addy). But I still think this sounds weird

Beastmode22's picture

It was from a domestic source and I was talking about the post I made about a month ago. The subject line in the letter says detention of priority mail parcel.

Perfectly said! This is an important issue so accurate info is a must.

I would notify the source asap if you already hadn't. I don't understand the meaning of this statement "that it could be a part of a federal law". Do you mean a violation of Federal Law?. This is extremely unusual...I would do a spring cleaning if I were you as well as any information on my hard drive if you have any. You see the funny thing is its very hard to prove a case because anyone can send anything to anybody in the mail. So therefore receiving a package doesn't make you complicit or prove guilt. But taking willful ownership does. If they were going to kick your door in they would not have sent that letter. But you could very be an open file now.

How do they know it was a domestic "order" you made?

I got a call once from the PO and they asked if I was "expecting a package".
If you think about it, it's a different question; one you would expect if the contents were unknown, i.e., they didn't know if it was an ebay order, gift, or an item a relative/friend was sending me. There was no mention of federal law or the need for a meeting arrangement.

My package was sent on to me without a meeting "arrangement".

I'd be very wary about picking up your package.

Beastmode22's picture

I'm just saying they said something about the Substance Control Act and they may think the package could be apart of a felony.

Greg's picture

My point exactly. So unless you have a script for your order, and can tell them you thought it was a licensed on line pharmacy; I would write this one off.

Bottom line is you just play dumb you say I never orderd anything play the victom

X2!

sounds fucking sus as, I would not call them, sounds like a bust how did you pay? if nothing's in your name or statements you should be able to claim no knowledge of the package

Beastmode22's picture

I did have all my real info on it when I ordered and paid.

j223's picture

why would the package have your payment info??

420blazinswag's picture

just claim no knowledge of the package chief, notify your supplier but the chances of them coming to your house are low unless you ordered some ludicrous quantity and they suspect you of supplying, but if it's a first offence a letter should be all you receive from what I understand, should be alright though

420blazinswag's picture

how did you pay though...? was it through something like WU or...?

just233's picture

Or better yet you could say you have no clue about a package you never orderd anything and that's the end of that

Beastmode22's picture

Are you being serious about throwing out all my stuff?

Greg's picture

relocate your stuff

Nitti's picture

Domestic pack? That's different.

Beastmode22's picture

Yea it was from one of the domestic sources on here. Because I used my real address and name for the order. Should I be worried about them coming to my home?
