Pinning delt

ad

When you guys pin delts do you sit down or stand up while doing it I've been standing up but resting my arm on the counter to relax it. Just wondering is it better to sit down and rest your arm on your leg?

I used to pin delts completed relaxed (arm hanging limp)

I used to pin delts flexed (elbow bent 90 degrees, upper arm parallel with ground)

Now I just pin delts with my elbow on my knee sitting down

I have noticed no real difference between my many variations of pinning delts

I leave my arm hanging by my side while standing. I also like to hook my thumb on my waste band(jeans, shorts) and just let it relax

sit with weight of arm fully on table. keep hand flat on table to resist clenching.

Yea well I'm going to try quads for the first time this cycle just wondering if I hit a nerve should I just pull the needle out and try a different spot on the quad and also how would I know if I hit a nerve because ive never hit a nerve in the spots I pin in now?

You will definitely know when you hit a nerve pinning your quad. When I hit a nerve my leg twitched and damn near shot the needle back out of my hand. Felt like a bolt of lightning running through my leg. I just put a fresh needle on and moved over about an inch and everything was fine. I now stay away from that spot on my quad because it always seems sensitive when I pin there. Stay away from the centerline of your quad. Remember upper/outer quad and you should be fine.
