+ 6 Let's talk about proper injection protical
Ok folks lets talk about injecting AAS and making sure everything is sterile. For the new members and a good reminder for us vets
Ok first things first you must make sure the area your injecting is sterile. How by taking isopropyl alcohol pad or cotton ball and swabbing the area DONT NOT BLOW ON IT LET IT AIR DRY. Second take the vial your about to draw from and and swab the top of the vial LET AIR DRY. Take your clean needle uncap and draw the AAS into the syringe to desired ml pull out and recap the needle.
Next unscrew the needle you used to draw up the AAS and replace it with a clean needle, uncap it take one hand make a z motion on the area that your about to inject into hold the z at the end then slowly push the needle into the muscle and slowly inject the oil DO NOT RAM IT IN , after oil has been injected count to 10 and pull the needle out. Now you may get a little bleeding or oil that ran out its ok just apply pressure for a few seconds and problem solved.. If you follow this Everytime it will greatly reduce the chances of infection . Hope this helps.

I pull the needle out really slow stopping half way after injecting. So as to give the tissue a.second to seal. I found that pulling really slow leaves no blood ever.
I'm TRT and I rarely get pip, but I got a little a few weeks back. As I looked back on my protocol, I realized I didn't handle my injection properly.
I usually inject into my glute or ventro-glue (one a week with test-u). I realized that I injected and then I had a hard time pushing down the plunger, so I re-positioned the syringe. I twisted it once I had injected into my muscle, so I could get a better grip. Moving the needle around, once it was in, caused some damage and resulted in some PIP.
My point in all of this is to be sure to have your plunger positioned properly, before you inject the needle.
Kudos V, many overlook the fact that every injection is a trauma to the body and with just an improper insertion PIP can occur
YungJocI always draw with 18g needle and inject with 21.5g needle. Goes in smooth and fast and not painful
With the 18 you are risking breaking off a chunk of stopper.
I draw with an 18, I'm just conscious of hitting the stopper in a different spot everytime
I draw with an 18 myself. I'm not patient enough to draw with anything smaller. I just practice likewise with piercing the top. We're typically forcing air into the vial and clearing the draw pin
I've never really had an issue with breaking off pieces of the top but I'm still watchful.
This is probably the part where the disclaimer should be inserted...
Don't draw and pin in the dark people. It's poor form.
This is an issue with average users.. I tell them NOT to use 18g and use 22g to draw with ... they DONT use a different spot and they do get chunks of stopper and then complain that there is 'stuff" in their vial .. OR with the silicone stoppers they create holes in the stopper and then it leaks.... let me tell you I get to hear ALL about it
your last post got erased, lol, glad you re posted as your advise is really good, +1
Are u using the rubber stopper or silicone cause i have problems of stoppers leaking and becoming degraded with larger pins?
I prefer silicon but even with rubber I blow through vials pretty quick cuz I mainly do shorts
Ok
good info + 1
-draw out with 22g
injection, thin oil 25g, thick oil 23g
injection shallow muscles with 5 8ths and deeper muscles with 1 inch
To be honest I have NEVER aspirated once, but I do:
Clean the area
Wipe the area and the top of vial, let air dry
(I won't even blow it dry cuz you never know what can come flying out with your saliva, just wait the few extra seconds)
Pull and switch tips
I pull the skin tight at the area of injection (IM pins, obv not sub q)
I don't pay much attention to speed being if you get a shot anywhere else, they push the fluid in fast. I just go at a steady pace, not too fast, not too slow
After pulling out syringe, I have another wipe already handy, and swipe the site again, letting air dry once more. If any bleeding, which is rare for me, I use a band aid (I recommend the Disney Princess ones, being that's all I ever have in my house lol)
In ten plus years I have never had any infecfions, abscesses or anything of the sort (knock on wood)
That's just my 2 cents!!
I actually take a shower soap up and rinse good and then stand under the ceiling fan in the bedroom and let my body air dry before I even start sterile procedure. No sense in touching myself with a "dirty" towel. I thought I was a crack pot but shared this with a couple of guys in the gym one who is a pro and they do the same thing. I've never had an abscess. Pale says he's done 1000 pins. I can't even imagine a number.
Rustyhooker14 weeks of ed pins...nothing special here
man that is an awesome ritual +1 It doesnt get safer then that
I have only been pinning a few years. You have many more years of pinning on me. I cannot seem to get away from ED pinning in one way or another tho lol
Is it weird i like pinning ED? ?
Not at all, at least for you and I.
Ok good...lol
LOL Let's face it. There are some guys that like to pin. No shame in that. For whatever reason, folk like it. I have been more neutral but as the cycles got bigger and each rig was filled beyond the 3cc mark with oil and then came the 5cc rigs I reached a point where I had buddies getting me special blends of super ultra high concentration gear just to cut down on the dang pinning. Now in my old age EoD is about as much as I'm willing to put up with. I still get stuck with an ED situation now and then but I try to avoid it. You may always enjoy it bro. Time will be the test.
I am currently EOD on oils but ED with GH. I have done my share of ED on oils tho and honestly I think I do like it. EOD is nice tho, I don't have to spend as much time back tracking where I pinned the last few times, lol
If you count oil, gh and peps then its 3 times a day IF i dont use a pre workout. Now that i think of it....i got issues :(
Good share
I always wipe off the blood or leaked oil with the alcohol pad until bleeding stops. It may well be overkill but after at least a thousand pins now I have had no infections. Knock on wood.
Wiping it to clean it is fine but will delay the stoppage of bleeding. A quick wipe and then pressure for a bit will allow clotting and stop the bleeding. I use the same prep pad I cleaned the area with prior and just hold pressure while I walk around doing whatever I have to next for the day.
Yea, it may slow the clotting for a moment but unless you are a real bleeder it still seals up pretty quick. No worries
I had a abscess lol u can't be to careful
It has always just made sense to me to hit it again with the alcohol pad post injection.
It may also be worth noting that it is not necessary to bury the needle. If you feel you need to bury the needle to hit muscle then its possible your BF may be too high to be considering AAS. If your BF is within range and you are still burying the needle then knots and possible abscesses may occur. My own personal depth is about 5/8"-1/2" depending on muscle group.
Also realize after you pin, there is an open hole in the skin for bacteria to pass through. So dont expose yourself right away to things. For example, dont go jump in a bath full of water and sit in your own filth, so goes for a hot tub. Shower is fine and so are most other things, just use common sense.
This is a great common sense share.
Before I switch the tips I usually draw back a bit of air to get that last drop in the Barrel. Is that bad?
I always do that also. There is about 0.1 ml hiding in there so you might as well not waste it.
mikeyg4321That's what i do too. Also asprirate as well. I know first hand getting staph infection in your arm from being unsterile. Weird how I always do the same protocol and sometimes even pinned being in a weird situation without getting an Infection with 100's of times I pinned myself and only get infected once. Shit sucks bad
It's ok to do this..before you pin you will push out the air anyway. Remember to ALWAYS aspirate your injections! Very important step!
Not even sure aspirating the needle is important . When I go in and get shots they never do it there I asked them once they said it's not taught in nursing school any longer ? Who knows
I typically aspirate, and I pinned my left delt and when I aspirated blood came into the syringe.. Its just a quick step, can't hurt lol But to each there own.
My doc and nurses never aspirate when they give me a shot so I don't bother with it either.
its good procedure to aspirate as a general rule (imo)..only takes a few seconds and assures you r not in a vein ...have heard the horror stories of pinning in a vein never seen it first hand tho....
I used to never aspirate until I injected (test) into a vein in my quad. I could feel it spread in my lungs and got something similar to tren cough.
Good info. +1
