+ 4 Gyno surgery
Hellow fellas, I am a new member here, although I have been visiting this site for a few months. Just like to share my experience with Gynecomastia surgery for those who maybe considering this route. I decided to get it done when I thought my gyno was at the point of no return. In 2007 I booked a date for the spring of 08 after a consultation and examination that cost me 250 dollars but it would come off the cost if I chose to go ahead with it, long wait cause I went to a very respected surgeon who was in demand and my date even got postponed to the summer of 08.
Finally the day arrived and I followed basic surgery procedures, like empty stomach and no water. Right before they put me to sleep the Doctor explained the following; he will make a small slit 3 inches away from the nipple towards the serratus then he will use a special tool, slide it through the slit and detach all the skin within a 3 inch radius of the nipple, then place clamps to stretch the skin and hold it open while he begins his work. He then will proceed and remove all gyno tissue from area. Once he feels he has removed all the tissue he then will proceed to remove the mammary glands.
He proceeded precisely as stated then by the end of the day I woke up. Wasn't in pain cause of the heavy painkillers but I could barely move or walk. I was patched up pretty good and given a vest to wear for the next 6 weeks. Was in bed for at least 48 hours before I could take the bandages off and shower.I asked him if the gyno could come back and he winked at me then stated he wasn't allowed to claim that it won't come back but I think it was pretty clear his true feelings was that it won't come back cause the mammary glands have been removed.
best 5250 dollars I have ever spent. Have done tons of juice since and never used anything to counteract the gyno and has never come back at all. Well that's my story any question feel free to ask. cheers

One small dot on each side 3 inches away from the nipple. The dot is half the size of your small finger nail, not noticeable at all.
Does insurance pay for this?
No
250 dollars was the price of the consultation and examination fee that is done at least 90 days before the scheduled surgery. Now if you take the consultation and decide not to go with the surgery then you lose the 250 but if you go a head with it then 250 that you already paid goes towards the medicine (creams and pills) and the vest.
so 5000 dollars for the surgery and 250 dollars on misc. for a total of $5250, got a loan for this and paid it off in 2 years.
For dbolz'... no inequality, no indent although it took a while to get used to the look cause it was different but once I got shredded for a show I was feeling great on how pleasing it looked
DCinSocal5250 or 250 man?
Got both sides done. The weirdest thing is the gyno is so dense and when taken out and measured it came up to whopping 300cc. When he told me how much was taken out I couldn't believe how much it was cause my gyno was bad but wasn't horrible, so this to me gave me the impression that he worked hard at getting the extra hard parts that are attached to the muscle. I think the key to a good surgeon is one that has done it over at least 50 times before. Good surgeon is key and worth the extra money.
dbolzWhopping to say the least thats a tonne of tissue he removed there. Did you end up with any inequality? Both pecs look the same? Any sinking in your nipples? You got me thinking now lol, problem is mine is too mild and in one side only so more of a risk than a reward if things go half bad
dbolzYou found a good doc brother, congrats on your results. Sad thing is most docs just do some liposuction there days and dont touch even the glands. In your case sounds like he removed 90%+ of what was there. I cant see it coming back if it hasnt already. Respect to your doc. Was it unilateral or both sides?
