+ 1 Enhanced Games Were Lame
Well turns out drugs don’t magically make you good at sports. So many people outside of their primes. I get you can’t just snipe the people at the top of the game unless there’s enough money but my god what a bunch of nobodies for the most part.
Also they only let most people enhance for 2 months? Christ Test takes weeks to feel anything.
Bryan Johnson is a fucking dweeb. Put the damn umbrella away. Too bad he’s the one representing the enhanced community. They spoke just as taboo about the drugs as anyone does. Felt like a huge ad for people to take trt.
The weight lifting was a joke. Track was horrible. Why even show the women if they aren’t gonna be even within a second of the WR.
Meh was looking forward to this and it was just super underwhelming. Hopefully they get a better group of athletes next year if there is a next year. Love the concept but felt very much like and ad for their “enhanced” clinic and not like sport.

unseen423I was super excited for this, and I agree with you for the most part- especially about Bryan Johnson- I FUCKING hate that guy- he seems like a complete tool.
The swimming seemed to be the biggest leap forward in performance.
The female form Barbados who won the 100m dash wasn't even enhanced, which is a not a great look for the games.
Totally agree on the caliber of athletes- most were either way past their primes or were lower tier athletes (ie not Olympic medal contenders).
That being said, I'm a 41 year old nobody who has become enhanced and is bigger, faster, and stronger than ever before, so seeing the "has-beens" set personal bests was kind of cool.
It had a very gimmicky feel to it, especially the commentators/announcers- I felt like I was watching Dodgeball and the dudes on the ocho were talking lol.
Hopefully, there is a next year. And hopefully, they can attract more talent and really push the boundaries of human performance to set some world records.
Yeah I agree I don’t mind the gas-beens if you actually give them time for the gear to work 8 weeks is just stupid. I feel like some of the weightlifters were close on just an 8 week cycle. I think they could do some real damage after a year of gear.
I agree swimming was my favorite too. Sounds like there’s no money in swimming for anyone not named Michael Phelps. So they should be able to helpfully keep pulling talent.
I just want less influencers and more people who actually know what they are talking about doing the commentary.
Hopefully they fine tune it next year, but I’m not super hopeful because of how much they pushed their peptide/TRT clinic.
