End of cycle anxiety
ad
So do you guys get this too? That feeling like you dont want to stop ? i feel like as soon a i start cutting back my doses then eliminating compounds i feel like all my hard work is going to go away. Also the feeling like if i can just go one more week or maybe 3 more weeks, i can make some more great progress. I know you cant stay on forever. but i am getting close to the end now and i am thinking how bad its going to suck. Anyone have anything mental they use to get past that psychological hell.

AnonWith TRT I don't really have an issue since I've gotten into a rhythm. I keep my calories high as possible when off without getting fat though, so keep that in mind I still staynear 4,000 a day when off but past 4,000 is too much.... I'm not trying to be at or below 10% I just keep the abs clearly visible good enough for my needs.
When I return to cruise I cut the reps back to 5-8 instead of 12+, stick almost exclusively to compound lifts with a good 2-3 minute solid rest period instead of higher volume higher rep lower rest periods more exercises like I do when on. I've found I keep damn near all my strength and size that way even increase my strength a little, sure you actually feel the fatigue which can be demoralizing but I'm still lifting solid numbers I can't bitch too much. Also do NOT go to failure and cook your CNS in my experience this will make you lose gains - when off that is. I actually lift much heavier off cycle than on, but I do far less sets ( like half as many ) and reps focusing pretty much exclusively on the compound lifts - but do not go to failure either. Again do not go to failure on any sets. I tend to stop a good 2 reps before failure generally and only do three working sets on say shoulder press or some type of chest press for example all with the same weight.
Legs and arms I treat different.... train both once every 8-10 days roughly when off and every 4-6 days when on.
IMO a big issue with people losing their gains is overtraining when they come off. Training natty vs. training when on cycle is night and day. I'll do as many sets as I can handle on cycle with light weight and the pump just blows my ass up physically, but off cycle I only hit each major muscle group once every 5-7 days and do only a few exercises. Try it out. Keep your cardio high ( moderate intensity my ass isn't running ) to allow for your calories to be as high as possible without getting fat as well.
Works for me anyways
Thought you are TRT................ whats the problem?
I am trt , just really enjoying the roll with the other compounds thrown in.
Bro I'm TRT and I've been cruising on 200mg of test cyp and provi for the past month and a half and I've kept all my gains and strength. I know what you mean though by wanting to stay on blast a little longer, been guilty of that a time or two.
I think everyone on here feels this way.I just stopped my cycle but iv had a great pct hardly lost anything. My mindset has been yes I feel like shit but come the time to go to the gym iv been goin all out. Most of the other pct iv done its hard for me to keep up the same intensity I have on cycle. This time I take the 20 min drive to the gym jam music and keep trying to psych myself up telling myself all this hard work comes down to this workout. How bad do I want to keep all my gains and was very effective for me
Change your mindset don't let pct slow u down the minds a powerful weapon . It made a huge difference for me this time
agree its def mind over matter
Had the best pct iv had so far cause of my mindset
I can totally relate!, I just finished PCT a couple weeks ago and I'm missing that all day euphoria that comes with 500mg a week of test. I'm Ok with the gains I kept, and still get amazed when I look at my 10 pounds of new muscle.
It's almost like a censored buzz, you know you need to call it a night but there's a nagging voice in the back of your head telling you to do one more. I've got to wait till mid summer before I can jump back on, the count down is on!
It's sucks, but it's a needed evil. Orals are hell on your liver and juice is hell on your receptors. It's going to suck, trust me. Your going to loose fullness within the first month. By the time pct is over you will be lucky to have kept half, imho. The trick is to watch your diet and still kill the weights. It sucks but, it's better for your body's natural homeostasis.
I think anyone that puts as much blood sweat and work into the body as we do feels that way. I feel that way coming off. But because were smart, safe and better then the knuckle heads that abuse it and end up all fucked up we live to lift another day. Like SDM said, recharge the batteries, get the mind and body back on point plan and get ready to hit it again when the time comes...Just my humble opinion...
Sometimes I do, but others I'm almost glad to be coming off, get away from the rigmarole of pinning / popping orals etc for a while. Almost feel like I can recharge the batteries when I'm off for a while and get the rest of my game 100% right ready to smash it again.
I can definitely relate to that. After I have been tapering for a few weeks I am sick of pinning and usually my body is sick of it as well. But my mind also knows the crash of sorts that awaits and it is protesting.
The everyday pinning is the one thing i never miss. thats about it though
Yea it sucks, but don't listen to the voices in your head and screw yourself up.
