Do random tuff guys instigate you because of your look?
Recently for some reason ive been getting asked alot if people try to fight me or start shit when im out at a bar or something because of my size and the way i look. I dont go out too much but no this has never happened to me yet. For the most part i get a positive response from people. My dad even asked me this saying you always get some guy who thinks he can or wants to try and kick the biggest guy in the bars ass.
Does this happen to anybody often or ever at all? I just think its weird i been getting this question alot lately so just wondering if its something that commonly happens to others? Luckily so far for me it hasnt happened. I have been told many times i have an intimating presence, not just because of my size but by my look and the way i carry myself.

I've been practice fights about 5 years and we as all other fighting clubs, have one rule. "If fight unavoidable - you must beat first".
What about me, I always try to avoid the fight, because I hate that feeling when you beat a dumbass and you become in people opinion a beast, a stupid BB. And people really don't care reason of this fight.
I've worked security at a club through college and when it comes to addressing somebody that is over intox or acting very "dark blue" a lot of the time people will talk shit. But only 20% of the shit talkers that tell you "I will beat your ass" will actually try.
People that start fights don't respect rules, and dont consider consequences. I don't think my size ever had much to do with the fights I've been in.
Other then that, Ive rarely been involved in fights.
I fight, abuse and road rage every single day of my life.
I get into altercations absolutley everywhere i go including the grocery store.
I was bullied in first year high school and tge psychs say my brain wiring is adapted so that every male is a threat and out to get me, i cant help it.
I went into fight training, gym/ juice, gangs, weapons and covered myself from head to toe in tatts ( i literally have my dome tattooed)
I did all this shit in all honesty to intimidate ppl to stay away and not approach- it went opposite for me- yes normal society fear me but ive actually made myself a target to every tough guy out there and they start.
Literally everyday im in some kind of altercation.
Im not talking tough or what ever- its truth every fkn day.
Im in process of intensive psycho behaivioral therapy and another form of treatment where they actually block shit from your memories.
Hopefully itll be succesfull.
Bit of hypervigilance in there
Its a mo' fo'
Wish you well man
Meditation helps compliment the therapy. But im sure you know that of course
Don't like the sound of that mate....blocking shit from your mind what if they fuck up, can that happen???
Its a newish technique
they used have to sedate you to do it, but its moved along
sort of like swapping out memories by programming a new event and response in the traumatic memories place
I did something similar for PTSD but couldnt handle it, there was a recall involved at the beginning and it was tough
the brain is a crazy fkn thing!!!
Yes, quite often when I was younger. I was always a bigger guy, so was challenged often. Typically started innocent enough, maybe an arm wrestling challenge or discussion about training, but after the booze flowed I always had to fend off the glory seekers. Dont hang in the bar scene anymore, but I avoided it when I could years ago due to this. People just suck in general IMO.
I get picked on all the time in the McDonalds playpen. A couple shoved into the ball pit and the kids usually back down.
Lol brother! That makes both of us! Those kids are so pushy, intimidating and territorial! I'm forced to use the drive-thru! I just hope they don't find out!
Tint the windows, they'll never know it was you!
Lol! Gotcha! This was just a great overall and comedic response, I really got a good laugh! Thanks for that and I'm up voting you for that! My 3,000 uptick, history in the making! :))
Glad to be a part of history!
Only by drunk muscle head insecure douche bags in their mid twenty's. I don't go out to bars much anymore now that I'm old (lol), but the rare occasion that this has happened, I just played it calm and the situation was defused be either me or others (luckily a couple times by the idiots friends).
I got into way too many fights up until about 24, like every person that talked shit or looked at me wrong... But I was also a dumb asshole. Then one day I woke up and grew the fuck up. I have WAY too much to lose now. It would take a lot for me to swing on someone. They'd probably have to actually land a punch on my face. And depending on how much it hurt (especially if they proved not to be a threat by that punch), I'd like to think I'd still give them the opportunity to walk away before I hit back. (I'd like to think)
I've found that aside from the occasional psychopath, most people that actually would be a problem and know how to handle themselves never start anything.
Amen to that. Its much harder to walk away then it is to lay them out. My wife stops me quite a bit from young kids with something to prove but it really is very rare. Usually its when its a car full and they feel brave after cutting me off then flipping me off. On the street or at the mall noone challenges me and im a midget. I give them a choice, either swing or shutup and if you swing and miss or land, it better knock me out because there is no such thing as a fair street fight.
lol It's funny you bring up the car scenario. I'm not such an angel behind the wheel. For some reason that's the only time I can lose my cool. But at least never too bad. I've gotten out of the car at a red lights on a couple occasions and luckily my fiance was with me and got me back in, or got me to stop as I was opening the door. The only time she wasn't with me the person luckily drove away (thru said red light lol) before I got to their car.
I don't even know what I'd do if I made it up to the window. Probably just walk up and yell, but I guess it's good I never made it that far. Never know who's got a gun (at least that's what my chick has put in my head).
Thats the problem, you have fists, they might have a gun and in my state if you reach into someones car they have the right to shoot you if armed. My wife reminds me of that all the time.
Yea, I guess sometimes they actually know what they're talking about lol
Only when I stare at there girls chest. Happens quite often. Lol just joking...
backonroidsHaha
I used to get harassed when I went out because I had somewhat of a babyface so guys at the bar would get drunk and start running their mouths. Thinking maybe I was an easy target? Who knows. Took many trips outside. Lol. But getting older and wiser I stay away from those situations but the very few times since then someone has puffed their chest up Ive either remained calm and agreed with what they've said or gotten pissed and given it back. I think its all in how you carry and present yourself. I have a horrible temper when pressed. 95% of the time I wont hurt a fly but keep pushing and I've equated it to rolling uphill towards a cliff. Hard to get there and takes a lot but if we drop over the edge theres no coming back. Haha. Unfortunately the world is full of assholes so it will never end.
up north England where I'm from this can happen regularly if you drink at a couple of my local pubs. they see a big bloke as a challenge and wouldn't mind if you were with your wife children or even grandmother they will still have a pop. this is that environment and anyone with half a brain would avoid those pubs.
I do get a lot of people asking me if I can handle myself because I workout but I'm an old dog now and long are the days where I would want to risk my freedom chinning someone. you can smell conflict from a mile away and that's when you walk away
This is actually a really dangerous thing.
Did you guys catch the video of the bb that of course this same situation happened and ended up getting killed because the skinny guy must have known some martial arts because he round house kicks him twice he falls and hits his head and he is dead. All because some skinny guy wanted to prove he could beat up a bber.
This is a thing and alot of the guys I know that are huge are like big teddy bears they don't want to fight anyone but they get these assholes always wanting to start shit with them.
It sucks
That video is horrible
They both had there shirts off so I suspect it was mutual. The guy shouldn't have hit him after the kick.
It was actually the bb guy that provoked it. Its funny when people think just because they have muscle they can fight. So many times I watched big muscleheads get dropped from average joe's. I only knew one musclehead who could back up what shit he talked. He is greek and a little slow in the head but one of my best friends since we were kids.
AnonOnce, some 5' 6" 150lb drunk guy must have had a rocket up his ass because his knee was in my face and he came down with the hammer of god right on my collar bone. I didnt hit him back but i held him around the neck bent over backwards over a table while he screamed in my face "keep doing steriods asshole" all i could do was laugh and hold him until the bouncer grabbed him up, I mean me having 110lbs on him could have got me in some trouble if i hit him back, i was in no immenent danger. Other than that its never happened, most guys just make comments like " whoa, i never want to fight you" which I always reply "muscles dont win fights". Most all people just enjoy talking about what it takes to get this big and just good conversation comes of it.
Fuck that I would have hit him back or atleast tried.
AnonI was sober and he was sloppy drunk, it wouldnt have been worth the assult charge.
Only one time since I started juicing and I was not even as large then as I am now.
backonroidsIf you walk around like a peacock pushing your chest out all screw faced throwing your weight around thinking your gods gift to women people will want trouble and rightly so .
I tend to keep myself to myself I'm the type of bloke that would smile at a old lady and help her with her bags just so she knows I'm not a thug . It's easy to be labelled something especially when your covered in ink . The last thing I want to be is portrayed as something i hate the most .
Drama is bad form Karma
Sometimes when I go to a bar with my girl another girl starts looking at me, then the boyfriend / husbands starts to blow up his ego and ask me why I look like a dumbass or ask "why do you flirt with my girl". Then I say I'm not interested for his bitch cause I have my wife ! I'm not the guy who wants trouble so I give shit about this idiots. Also a reason why I don't like to get out, especially not to places where I know that there a lot drunken people.
This happens a lot to me. People view guys like us a certain way and it seems like they want to use us as a benchmark for their own perceived toughness or what have you. I've had girls confide in me that they want to see me fight their boyfriends, lol freakin weird stuff man.
And in my case, like most of the bigger guys I know I'm a total teddy bear. Just don't poke the bear ;)
RustyhookerAs you said, its in how you carry yourself.
Think about your life. When you walked into a bar or club it's easy as hell to pick out the trouble in the room. The hard stare etc. If you're not doing that then noone perceives any threat. Im a midget but started bouncing places before i left high school. There's no need to be 'that guy' to get the job done.
