You need Clomid. HCG just stops your testis from shrinking--CLOMID Clomiphene works by blocking estrogen at the pituitary. The pituitary sees less estrogen, and makes more LH. More LH means that the Leydig cells in the testis make more testosterone.

You can take HCG(converts to estrogen) all day long but no Clomid your testis don't turn on.

This has been a big debate for some time with hcg and I'll give you my thoughts. i would rely on hcg as being something to only prevent testicular atrophy...thats it. If it were to keep you from shutting down then we would simoly not need pct at all right? So I do prefer the extra blocker in clomid even knowing the heavy lifting is being done by the nolva in terms of pituitary LH reboot. There are ways around the clomid use but realistically the nut reboot is not your worry when thinking of the clomid use. I don't like hcg in the post cycle and thats because it is slightly suppressive to LH. Well, LH is what we are trying to reboot to bring the axis back to full natty function on the test side. I would use the hcg to the close and would certainly use your AI protoco in cycle to the close to have estro in check as your pct begins but I prefer the dual pct. Its a tough call as G says here but there are protocols that roll other combos with low dose AI and nolva to explore and discuss but hcg in the post is a no for me.
