So next week I am having a blood test for GH. Fingers crossed it will confirm good levels and that my investment in HGH has worked out this time around. I have however found it quite difficult to get private blood tests done and some of the prices quoted for doing so have been astronomical, certainly in relation to the prices I have seen quoted for the same tests for guys in the US. I should clarify I am in the UK. I came across one company though and after speaking to the guy there I got a price which wasn’t too bad and it was a lot less than the price advertised on their website. The GH test is £61 although there is a Phlebotomy charge of £40 and it means me travelling around 80 miles to get the job done. Speaking to the guy there (Paul Harris) I could also of had my Test and Estro done at the same time for an all in price of £113 plus the Phlebotomy charge. Not exactly cheap but then again other than going through my GP would be a waste of time so I don’t have a lot of choice. I know there is some testing available through some of the needle exchanges but that is quite limited in its scope and getting GH or IGF-1 tested is a non starter. I have seen on their website that they do some special offers on different panels. However currently they are not offering anything for AS users per se. I am going to contact Paul Harris directly and urge him to put some sort of package/packages together. I am sure this could be of mutual benefit to us in that it would attract more clients for his business and we would get a better deal. I would encourage anyone contacting him to do the same. I think it would be of great benefit to us guys in the UK to start listing testing services, likewise it would be great to do the same for you guys in the US but in a different thread so things don’t get mixed up. I hope this is OK with the Mods. I have no axe to grind and I am not trying to promote anyone’s business. I just want to try and make access to testing a little easier and hopefully less expensive.
