Amps breaking and getting particles inside

Anybody has issues with that? Encountered this problem today with test c 250 from a well known brand. I break them and parts of amps are getting inside. Tried 4 or 5 with the same result. Of course I didn't pin and had to threw it away

This has happened to me before and syringe filters are the way to go. I always grab a few when I order amps. By far my worst experience was when broke open uneven and a jagged edge sticking from the top of the amp cut my index finger so bad I had to get three stitches. To this day I still put a band-aid on that spot prior to cracking amps.
So I used a spoon to cut them like a true Ninja. It works. Just hit them in specified spot

I don't recall any spot specified on the amp as, "Hit here with spoon."
Not even a set of "ikea icon" instructions in the box.
Make sure your bifocals are on then you can see the hit here with a spoon spot. Only recommended for hard core amp aficianados.

I’ve had pretty poor amps before and I always used a syringe filter to suck up the product. Works well and is great for added protection. Also don’t ever scrape the inside of the amp or vial with the tip of your draw needle!
All good ideas down below but why bother when a quick score with simple $2 triangle file gives you a clean break 100% of the time.
RustyhookerI just bought the amp cutter opener tool. It slips over the neck and pinch to cut, then snap. Have you tried this tool? I havent used yet. Hcg snapped easy in the past but i have a bunch of test and deca amps for fall
I broke more amps with that dang tool than I did just scoring them with a file and snapping with a bic pen top. I just couldn't get the hang of it with that tool for some reason. Then the little piece of metal that scores the amp fell out so it didn't work anyway then. lol

Lots of good comments here - I have found that some sources use different quality ampules. Some break clean without any effort - some are muthas to break. I guess that it all comes down to the thickness of the glass at the neck. I have actually tossed ampules that were too hard to break, because the vial will break in your hands before the neck breaks off. I usually put each ampule in a tissue or handkerchief and slowly turn them in my hand as I apply even force to the top. There is a point where they will usually separate. It's a matter of trial and gentle but consistent pressure. However, I have to admit - no-one has ever explained the dot process mentioned here to me...so I learnt something new today.
Whitman filter work great for situations like that. I would suggest getting some sterile empty vials and just transfer from amps to vial while filtering at the same time.
JayD718They also sell syringe filters, for this use. But all it takes, is hold the amp firmly in your fist with just the top of the ampule sticking out with the dot facing your thumb, and firmly snap! Once you do a few, you should get it down pat. Never try and use two hands(one hand to hold the amp, and the other to snap it off)! No file should ever be needed.
Two points I want to make about your post,:
The direction to snap in relation to the dot. Always snap away from the dot. If the dot faces you, snap back, if the dot faces away, snap forward. Personally I find it easier to keep a firm grip if I snap towards me (dot facing away)
The trick is in the motion of the snap, Snapping quickly, with confidence, and without thinking is key. Much like breaking a smelling salt (which for the most part is an amp in a cotton cocoon)
If the amp has a dot on it over the score in the glass all you need to do is:
You need a paper towel, alcohol pad, amp
roll the base if the amp up a few times in the paper towel –leave the neck and top exposed.
Open the alcohol pad. wipe down the top and neck of the amp.
cradle the amp between your thumb, index finger, and middle finger.
point the dot away from you.
slip the pouch the alcohol pad came in over the top of the amp.
tilt the amp slightly away from you to help prevent any glass from falling into the amp (not so much as to spill the content).
CONFEDENTLY snap the top TOWARD you. It takes about the same amount of pressure as snapping open a smelling salt.

I use the same method but yet I have one certain brand that every single time no matter what it burst. I've since thrown them away due to just that shards of glass all in the oil. Other kinds snap right open no problem at all.
HeavygameI use a piece of napkin or something for the top and bottom and just lightly snap the top off holding the amp with fingers from both hands and with my thumb and forefinger just a bit of pressure and should be ok.
You shouldn't have to use a file or anything to break them clean. It is all technique. There are a couple youtube videos out there that show how but basically, make sure your index knuckles are tight together, left thumb on the dot and right thumb up the stem, snap by placing pressure down and back. Clean break every time.

Truth, it really is simple. A little practice will have you a pro. No sense reinventing the wheel here.
Had the same problems with amps breaking.
Frustrating, I used knife and file to do something better. But no success with no tools. Will look for those YouTube videos...

Took a knife a scored around the top and they break a lot easier,
Without doing that I can’t even break mine!

AnonIts all in the thumb and the meaty outside part of your pointer finger. With the dot facing you, put the meaty part of your pointer finger in the neck groove and place your thumb right on or above the dot then snap back.

Seen it now, thanks. Not the same brand but it's similar on how they break. At least you were not in danger in pinning some contaminated shit, that's a plus. I was lucky that amps were coloured at the top and I was able to see the coloured glass inside.
Yeah there was no way i was using that stuff. Lots of loonies on here that would though
The glass on mine was clear but you could still see the glint of the shards
Better off binning it, get a refund/replace
