KARMA EXPLAINED
Points distribution is based on contribution with different modifiers.
Even if you don't like it, this was a much needed change, karma circlejerking and whoring for promos was a problem with the previous setup. A lot of high level badges were earned "illegally".
Users were granted when karma was being recalculated and distributed:
- 1 Comment karma for every 10 comments.
- 1 Review karma for 5 reviews.
- 1 Pic karma for 5 pics.
- 1 Forum karma for 5 forum posts.
- 1 Group karma for 5 group posts.
- 1 Karma for 1 cycle log.
- 1 karma for 10 news posts.
Since launch, new rules are in effect:
- 1 Karma when post or comment is up/down voted.
- 1 Review Karma when a Review is submitted.
- 1 Pic Karma when pic is submitted.
- 1 Forum Kama when forum post is submitted.
- 1 Cycle Karma for a cycle submitted.
- 1 News Karma for submitted news.

Hi Mate - Click on the envelope icon on the upper right hand side next to your Avatar picture. Then click the 'write message' button and enter his name into that PM template and write out your message

Anyone also got a problem with the search function? Any link to a post I click give me a 404 not found error.
Currently fixing this problem, it should be fixed for forum post results.
I think it may not be active yet if all the old site hasn't been uploaded onto the new template.
So you get Karma points for just posting comments?
you get 0.1 comment karma for posting comments, providing it's not downvoted or upvoted or posted in off-topic forums
One thing that would be really good BFG is if you could make the rolling comment bars a little smaller, currently we can just see 4 comments in the forums at any one time. With the old template you had a bigger view of the whole discussion if you get me, say maybe 8 to 10 comments at a time would be good. Just tell me to shut up if you don't like my suggestions
Old forum could display 6 one line comments on a typical 360x640 resolution screen.
This does 5, but fonts are bigger and spacing make it much easier to read. I want for readility.

How do we follow a post? I see a "following" tab in our profile.
You follow a user not a post.
When you follow (or befriend) a user, his posts, comments, and like/dislike actions will show up on your profile under Following tab.
You don't need to befriend a user to follow him.

Fyi, I cant seem to find all my cycle log updates. Not that they mean much, but I'm 5 weeks in and poof they gone.
Unfortunately cycle log updates have not been migrated. You're welcome to edit your current Cycle log with updates though
BigCactusSeems like a bad idea to award karma points for posting pics and forum posts tbh. Doesn't really matter to me, but I can imagine some people spamming for points.
At least now you know when a user has Pic karma, Comment karma or Review karma.
This is important when you have to decide to trust a review for example. Whereas before a user with 5000 karma had been whoring for votes by shitposting in forums, wrote 1 review and collected all the promos due to his "high karma"
very nice addition.
But to play devils advocate what if the pictures are from bloodwork or lab tests?
You can now attach pics to your reviews, bloodwork or lab tests pictures should preferably be posted within a review.
I like this feature.
I wanted to take pics of my Iran products I recieved not long ago in extreme detail with comparisons of different amps/lots and so on to help the community better understand some myth/rumors over the years, and the fact I can add these pictures into my reviews so others can get an education makes me happy.
