KARMA EXPLAINED
Points distribution is based on contribution with different modifiers.
Even if you don't like it, this was a much needed change, karma circlejerking and whoring for promos was a problem with the previous setup. A lot of high level badges were earned "illegally".
Users were granted when karma was being recalculated and distributed:
- 1 Comment karma for every 10 comments.
- 1 Review karma for 5 reviews.
- 1 Pic karma for 5 pics.
- 1 Forum karma for 5 forum posts.
- 1 Group karma for 5 group posts.
- 1 Karma for 1 cycle log.
- 1 karma for 10 news posts.
Since launch, new rules are in effect:
- 1 Karma when post or comment is up/down voted.
- 1 Review Karma when a Review is submitted.
- 1 Pic Karma when pic is submitted.
- 1 Forum Kama when forum post is submitted.
- 1 Cycle Karma for a cycle submitted.
- 1 News Karma for submitted news.

You have better tracking available now. On your profile check tabs My Activity, and Following tabs.
It tracks your own actions (comments, posts, votes) and actions for your friends and people you follow.
Hi Buddy - We need a Tracking button that operates exactly the same way the old one did in that as soon as a new comment is added to a page we have commented on, it shows the link to the page at the top and it keeps cycling itself round. Currently unless I am unaware of where it is we have no way of knowing when a page has updated that we are interested in with a new response.
The old Track function was pretty much addictive in its nature - it kept you constantly looking for changes and updates to an SI or Topic and thats why it worked so well. It had the ability to keep you active for hours at a time on the site
Currently it looks like we have a Stream feed in the middle but not a track.
Exactly. The way it is now I can't tell if a new post was made in a topic that I commented on. Much more labor intensive now and not very user friendly when trying to keep up on conversations.

Do miss new comments being highlighted in threads and chance we can have that back?
I've seen a couple of complaints regarding this. If the pink outline around the new comment isnt enough, I could maybe squeeze in "new post" somewhere

Hi Mate - Click on the envelope icon on the upper right hand side next to your Avatar picture. Then click the 'write message' button and enter his name into that PM template and write out your message

Anyone also got a problem with the search function? Any link to a post I click give me a 404 not found error.
Currently fixing this problem, it should be fixed for forum post results.
I think it may not be active yet if all the old site hasn't been uploaded onto the new template.
So you get Karma points for just posting comments?
you get 0.1 comment karma for posting comments, providing it's not downvoted or upvoted or posted in off-topic forums
One thing that would be really good BFG is if you could make the rolling comment bars a little smaller, currently we can just see 4 comments in the forums at any one time. With the old template you had a bigger view of the whole discussion if you get me, say maybe 8 to 10 comments at a time would be good. Just tell me to shut up if you don't like my suggestions
Old forum could display 6 one line comments on a typical 360x640 resolution screen.
This does 5, but fonts are bigger and spacing make it much easier to read. I want for readility.
