good steak and sweet potatoes

ad

I was out and about today looking for good priced steak and also stocking up on sweat potatoes.

I cut my sweet potatoes into slices and microwave them its easy enough, but I found some yam patties in the frozen food section today , they basically look like frozen sweet potato biscuits I took three from the pack and microwaved them for three minutes it was perfectly done .

I also found some excellent steaks , They are beef shoulder cuts. roughly $5.00 a pound. There not the prettiest steaks I've ever seen, but there lean and grill up damn nice.

I want to move on a different topic from where you finish,
How to consume steaks to get best protein out of the meat.
Rare Steak-Medium or Well Cooked?
Is there any one has knowledge about that. Thanks

the USDA has that: https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/

Would be interesting to know if protein degrades the more it is cooked ie. Blue compared to well done...

Good work! I guess its just cooked muscle which in reality is already 'dead' anyway so any kind of anabolic properties that are still there won't be killed off any further as such Lol

I go for the white potatoes all day. Sure, the glycemic index is higher, but who cares? Its perfect training fuel. The magnesium and potassium content absolutely dominates the sweet potato’s. Throw a little plain, non-fat Greek yo and olive or mac nut oil, and boom, you got yourself a powerhouse of a meal, no red meat needed

Of course I love me a good steak but I try to limit it to once a week

They are absolutely awesome pre training food period - no need for a pre workout of any kind if you've eaten one of those lol PR smashers....Good for dealing with Hypo's also

Especially salted. Perfect balance of carbs and electrolytes

Man I've been watching some of the Junior 93kg Powerlifting championships footage thats recently gone up on youtube. Seems everyones copying Owen Hubbards crazy bench set up now. Just how on earth do they not manage to snap their necks or backs when using their forehead to set up the arch - they must be doing some serious flexibility work to be able to do it.

83, isn’t he? Man, if I could do that, I’d be doing it too. I think it’s mostly genetic.

Well I had something kinda similar, and discovered my new favourite cooking sauce - Tomatoe & Red wine sauce Mmmm Lol White jacket potatoe covered in salt and butter then covered with the red wine sauce with a load of Southern fried chicken fillet strips on the side. Gorgeous!
