Mind Muscle Connection ''mmc''

ad

It can not be overstated how much I underestimated the importance of the 'mind muscle connection' in my early years of lifting especially. I am 29 and I have just now started to take the MMC seriously over the past year, in doing so I have been able to harden my lower pecks, and many other weak points I have struggled with since my early twenties.

I have a kind of meditation I do in between sets, visualize and contract , visualize and contract over and over in my mind. Even when I am not lifting I visualize my optimal form and work my MMC, you might say I am a little obsessed at the moment. I feel like I have wasted many years lifting incorrectly, I just did not understand when I was young, the importance of listening to the older guys.

^^^A great article, for anyone who doubts the 'MMC'.

Curious to hear everyone's method of utilizing the Mind Muscle Connection, how long have you practiced it , and how important do think the 'MMC' is.

A strong mind muscle connection not only brings more reps into the muscle you really want to work but it helps you push through the burn when you’d otherwise fail. Essential.

Yeah when you start seeing spots and think you’re gonna pass out. That’s a good set.
