I think I'd rather just get it operated on now buddy, get a new shoulder and start over again. Its taken a lot of hammering over the years and I think trying to recover it will only be like trying to polish a turd ultimately.

If you're having surgery on a torn tendon and they need to reattach it. You should get some stem cells injected and also use BPC-157. I had the same thing done.

press1's picture
press1's picture

I have read about the stem cells injections - I am assuming those things are pricey are they? I've been using BPC and TB for a while now but just run out unfortunately, along with 30 to 60 grams of collagen peptides per day and high Vit C tabs.

I have a large U shaped, Full thickness 1.8cm near full width tear in my Supraspinatus bud from basically heavy benching all these years. I was gripping it fairly wide constantly and not retracting scaps back enough I think, although being 46 I think it was always going to happen anyway because of age. Played a lot of tennis during my teen years which no doubt contributed to it all with serving etc. The Footprint of the tendon is still attached to the humorous though which is good. Infraspinatus at the rear is mildly frayed - have a meeting with the surgeon 10th June to discuss what he will do - Hopefully double anchored etc.

Which area did you tear and were you in a sling for 6 weeks etc afterwards - how long before you were back lifting properly?

eighty7's picture

I don't remember when exactly was torn but one of the tendons that attached from my neck to my shoulder completely detached and they had to reattach it. And like 3 others were torn. I had to be in a sling for about a month after the surgery and I was in a lot of pain the whole time. It was worse than the actual injury. I had trouble lifting my arm for the first year. But after getting the stem cells and using BPC-157 for a long time its honestly way stronger than even before the injury.

eighty7's picture

They were stem cells from the embryonic sac not fetal stem cells. They didn't cost me shit in my insurance covered it but yeah I'm assuming it would be very expensive I'm not sure how much though but they work. With all my pressing motions I try to stick with dumbbells and avoid the barbell.

Oh damn. Hope you have a easy go and speedy recovery.

We’ve got some ameraucana… ayam cemani… wyandottes… opal leghorns… bunch of mixes, too. I’ve got one zombie hen that is fucking awesome. I’ll have to get some pictures of her. If I was a rooster she’d never be walking.

Their a major chore and pain in my ass

eighty7's picture

Why? Or is it because you have so many?

shaun1's picture

Really because we have way to many, it takes close to hour and a half to 2 hours every day to go around and feed and water all of them then on the weekends we have to go around and clean out all the coops, and usually about every 2 weeks we wash all the feed and water bowls. It's just alot of work on top of working 6/12's at my job. We really need to cut back way back. My wife can't have kids so the chickens are her baby's so I put up with all this crap for her.
